If I tweet from my computer and not a phone, will it show an IP address? You should be OK if you do not have a geolocated Twitter account -- it is part of your Twitter profile. Most radio stations will not go back to originating IP address for anything EXCEPT online direct requests and polls. The data from polls is really easy to split into within market and out of market. So when you request on the 5@5 and Request A Song on B104, etc. that shows your IP address? |

Yes only us diehard fans would recognize the interview. Any publicity is good but playing his song would be nice. I think PLL will help him immensely, it has a huge following and if he has a few spoken lines as well that will definitely help him. I do love his look from this interview. If you notice most of the ones he follows have taken up his cause. Thanks for letting me know. I opened a twitter account once and it scared the bahooties out of me, so I don't use it anymore. I know..how hard can it be, right??? But I had all these 'people' start to follow me so I blocked my account. Tres creepy..JMO...I know many of you have a great time there. I had a total of maybe 4 tweets I made..1 to Adam and 3 to a friend and I got off. Like a big black hole, that place...  Totally appreciate all the info you all bring over, tho!  |

Yes, when you vote in any online poll or post a comment, your IP address is connected to that record. And your IP address can easily be associated with a physical address. Anyone with administrative privileges can see the IP address. For example, in 2010 WSTW Wilmington DE removed Adam from all their polls because they were getting so many posts from outside of the market. Most stations do not care who votes in polls because they sell the online ads. And some stations, like Q102 want traffic and listeners from everywhere. ETA: Just to clarify --- Winning these online polls is really important to Adam and you can vote from anywhere. Requests are a different matter -- and for local broadcast playlists, most stations only consider local requests. |
