Pheww.. I've been waiting for this and I thought they're going to air it in Sept-October, and they did this interview in June and going to air it in November. I hope they don't talk about NCOE as the single anymore. :-/

Ok, this may be a really dumb question but is it ever a good idea to email a PD/MD (or even a DJ) directly? I know a lot of websites have this information. Something like, "will you be playing the new Adam Lambert song?" I have never done this before, and ordinarily I would think it might not be the thing to do, but I kind of feel like we could be entering "what could it possibly hurt at this point" territory. Is this a totally bad idea? eta---just to clarify, I'm not talking about spamming them with messages, sending daily emails, or anything like that; just a single email to see if they even respond I emailed DJ's twice early on with BTIKM. My radio station is in a smallish city (more personal) and there is no "how to request" information on the web site. So I just emailed a request to whichever DJ was on air. I did get email responses plus the song. Turned out one of the DJ's was also a PD for a couple stations in the area--oops--but was really nice. Since then, I opened a Twitter account and use it only for requesting. (I'm not interested in twitter and don't text either.) I have followed a couple miscellaneous singers/stars but not Adam--so I don't appear too crazed. Pink tweets a lot, so that buries my requests a bit. I also request other songs if I find one I can stand enough to want to help it out--recently "Too Close" by Alex Clare. That's my strategy--no idea if it will work for TP. The station quit playing NCOE and requests did nothing. What's new?

Guys vote, Dr Bri is behind. The link isn't working for me.. do you have the entire link handy? I voted with the link Talon gave earlier today and bookmarked it. But it doesn't open at the moment, maybe they have maintenance (it is middle of the night in Europe). (I am not too familiar with the tech stuff but I guess the link-thing is not only about where you click it, really, but about if it is a complete, real link that you could access from anywhere. That's why I prefer links to home sites or link to an article (which I bookmark)- I can go there later and then click forward from there, the appropriate voting/poll and make my choice in it. There seems to be shortened links of various types that I don't know how they work. If I find a link on twitter, it often has and ending '...twitter' and if I notice that I try to first click something else on the site and return to the appropriate place - then I get the 'real' link which I post. Cannot manage that all the time, but that's what I try.)

Maybe they're co-headliner ;D Talking about co-headliner, I'm surprise that Daugthry is co-headline with another band for the US tour. And off course he's also opening for Nickelback in Europe. For all the sales that he made, guess he still needs help for touring. I'm not! Opening for a band like Nickelback over in Europe was great exposure for Daughtry. Co-headlining is smart if you want to reach outside of the same stan base from AI and play to venues larger than 1,000-2,000 people. It can end up being a positive experience for the artists and "two for the price of one" can bring in a lot more casual fans than a solo tour. Kelly Clarkson just finished a co-headling tour with The Fray. It didn't hurt her in any way. Jlo and Enrique had a co-headlining tour. Most artists and groups are struggling to play the bigger venues. Artists are having to do things like co-headlining to attract buyers. Ohh I know the advatage of opening and co-headline. That's how they re-introduced Daughtry on his first year by opening for Bon Jovi and Nickelback. However, he is still an opening act for Nickelback for European tour, I thought with all the sales he made he can do his own eventhough smaller venue. This opening act thing, it works for some artists but looks like it doesn't work for others. Since Christina cannot sell her concerts last year (she had to cancel her tour and joining The Voice), maybe this time around she and Adam can co-headline together and do arena tour.. LOL

Oh interesting! Didn't know they could track it to Atop by clicking on a link someone posts here.. :-/ YES, when the IT/webmaster or person that looks at stats for clicks it shows all sorts of things. Elementary is what site the person came from to arrive at your site. I hate to admit this, but for example when I check our sites stats I can always tell when a forum has talked about us, and can even click on where they came from and see what they are talking about that had the link that brought them there. So not only would they know where you came from, Atop in our case, but can click back and see exactly what post you make the click from. So yes, if you want to register the best benefit for Adam do it direct. And often I will put the link in say three browsers and then wait a few minutes between clicks, unless I don't care and we are power voting or for the whack a song thing where you want the most clicks in the shortest amount of time...
