I know this may be wishful thinking, but what are the chances that Trespassing (album) might sneak back up into BB200 this coming week? It could happen!!!! ;D ;D ;D I was wondering if there was any hope of that too. In fact, I bought a Delux down load on Google Play for this very reason. Maybe I need to run to Target. I just hate to think about the Trespassing single being dead. Maybe it will get some action in the dance clubs that could create a little spark. I guess we just have to keep voting and requesting like we had good sense.

Good because I think Tsp is dead on US radio. Sorry to be negative but it is no longer on Q102's MB form and no longer comes up when it's typed in on the Takeover.
That's because it wasn't played in the last 7 days. It's automatic. Maybe Maxwell will come through again. Not sure if "dead" is the right word choice. It actually never was "born." Have no idea WTF RCA is doing but their "chances" in my eyes are all used up. (Not that I matter, apparently to them!) [/IMG]
I know it's not manually removed - it's automatic if not played for a week. But not played once in a week? Get on the horn with Maxwell gurl! Seriously - I do think it was dead from day one but I'm having a very hard time facing that truth. I keep hoping it will miraculously rise from the dead. Cuckoo (if it had been played even a little) would have been a hit. I just know it. Look at the reaction from PLL. But now we're back to the same ole song & dance which is not getting us anywhere.

Wow! NCOE Video is only about 40,000 views away from 10 million.
This ties into what we were discussing about different ways people are accessing music in the computer age. I think this is pretty good for a song that basically had no radio play. It is also a revenue stream. I removed my erroneous information. I really need to look things up for myself.

"Clusterfuck" is my favorite word for this era.

Do you think part of nothing take off is because no really music video has made on this song? I get the point of why make the video like the other 2 songs when VH1/MTV weren't showing much on air, so why throw the money on it. But then that means no really promo on the song for the radios to be interested, and like you said, Mys*&@^#r, it never "born'. RCA just throw out the single, and like whatever and i'm afraid that they've giving up on this album. I think RCA/DMG are doing all wrong in the promo dept on this album. Instead of making him doing the radio tour in the beginning of the release on the album they should've put him on TV shows/interviews like Taylor S. or the same numbers of appearance on TV like his FYE album! No, radio was the right thing to do. Adam has never done a radio tour like this and all the artists do it, even PINK, Kelly, Taylor, Bruno. It is part of the game. But radio renigged on their side of the bargain. Actually that's not true. BTIKM got a lot of adds, especially HAC! NCOE was the wrong follow up song and BTIKM was probably the wrong 1st single. It did OK on HAC, but Pop never spun it enough to get it into Top 40 (or Top 50 for more than one or 2 days.) There should have been more follow up with TV though. Yes, there was a hiatus during summer, but not all the talk shows go on hiatus. There was Kelly with her guest hosts all summer and Letterman does not go on hiatus all summer. Either do the 3 morning shows (Adam did do one.) But now, what's the excuse now? All this buzz and sales jump from PLL and nothing! It baffles me! It really, really does!
Just caught up on the daily thread with all the fabulous & crazy glampire stuff, feel a bit strange to talk about numbers & radio sh*t...lol
Anyway, Tsp is the 3rd single following 2 lukewarm ones and the radio treatment shouldn't come as a surprise (I'd hold out a teeny-weeny hope that RCA would go all balls out on the 3rd single but my "dark angel" apparently won). We can not turn back the time and it is what it is now. As a business, RCA is always gonna be more interested in the bottom line than anything else, and at this stage of the game, so is Adam, a savvy businessman himself (every promo penny essentially comes out of his pocket).
RCA is not giving up on this project, the TSP project will come to an end naturally when there's nothing left to squeeze & milk. While RCA wasn't preparing to do much on the US radio, but they had to give him another single to promote, imo, especially internationally. 'cuz regardless how his singles were doing in the US (or UK, DE,etc.), Adam is a global artist and there're many other countries where he can still further his career and sales with this current project; back in the US, the new single tied in perfectly with the EP release and the little stint on PPL. mys*&@^#r, I'm not familiar with most of the daytime TV shows so I have no idea if it is difficult to get a last-minute booking on those shows. In any case, a couple of follow-up TV appearances would definitely maximize the PPL effect, which they didn't bother and that's a sign to me either they didn't foresee its unusual buzz (idiots!) or they didn't think it's worthy (again idiots!).
In one of S.A. radio interviews from yesterday, at the very end, Adam said singing is his first love, but he's open to acting, fashion and general lifestyle stuff too, and he's working on different things. I hope somethings will eventually materialize 'cuz there's more than one road that leads to Rome!

I think this is pretty good for a song that basically had no radio play. It is also a revenue stream. I heard that youtube pays $7.00 dollars per 1000 views, if this is true 10m would bring $70,000 into Adams RCA account. Both BTIKM and NCOE would bring in $140, 000 if my math is right.
Per wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_does_YouTube_pay
Youtube's payout schedule: $ 0.0033/1 view $ 3/1,000 view $33/ 10,000 views $330/ 100,000 views $3300/ 1,000,000 views
Yes, RCA is gonna milk, milk till.....

Maddie I wouldn't use the word "lukewarm" for the first 2 singles. Ice cold is more like it. At least for NCOE. It went nowhere.
I do agree that followup promo after PLL should have been an obvious thing to do. They didn't do it. Clusterfuck no matter how you look at it. Without push from the label it seems to be a losing battle. I'm persistent though and will keep banging my head against the wall that radio has erected. I'm not giving up.
Eta I know I said earlier that TSP (the single, not the album) is dead on US radio. I still think that's true. Doesn't mean I will give up.

Maybe I'm always checking on int'l stats, which kinda explains that "lukewarm" feeling comes from, but as in the US, you're probably right about the "Ice cold Radio"
We can call whatever ("clusterfuck") we like about this era but what's done is done and the reality is both RCA & Adam need to take care of the bottom line on this current project, no matter how much Adam and us fans want a hit single out of this era! At this point, I wouldn't be surprised it's Adam who's the one being conservative (comes to MV for tsp and $$$ on radio push, etc.) 'cuz if he gambled and it didn't pay off, he would be in the red (or deep red) and that wouldn't bode well for the next project.
ETA: I have a feeling that 2013 might churn out more surprises and excitements than we bargain for...
