Oops sorry if I misunderstood.. I was talking about the single track. It applies to both singles and albums. In this case the EP has the better chance to chart on Billboard. If someone from east coast sends Trespassing as a gift to someone in west coast.. I imagine it can't be downloaded until Trespassing remix shows up on the west coast, which it isn't right now.. but would it still count as 1st hr purchase even though it won't be d/l until 3 hrs later on the west coast?

What's important.. the time the person buys Trespassing or the time that it's downloaded? i.e. What if someone from the east coast gifts it to someone from the west coast.. does the west coast person have to wait until midnite west coast time or can the song be d/l right away even if before midnite? I am not sure what happens. I'll research. ETA: The situation above is rare so there is no exception for it. It would only cover East to West gifting in the first 5 hours of release. The sales are pre-orders until the release date. Then submitted to Soundscan when delivered after the release date. All other sales are discarded. The sale transaction listed above will be discarded unless Soundscan changes the rules. So are you saying that if I d/l within the 5 hrs of release which it will be with the 3 hr time difference, then it's fine?

I believe Q3 is saying that if someone on the East coast gifts to you at midnight EST than you need to wait till after midnight PST to download if you live in the PST time zone.

Lol thanks for the translation. I hope that's correct because I'm waiting to d/l one now from a different time zone.

If it's past midnite your time, then you can buy the EP now, but you can go to Amazon through the link at the bottom of the page.

Just started reading the thread today, but I wanted to share an Adam related experience.
Today I called in to request to our local Top 40 station (93.3 in San Diego) which never plays Adam. I usually only call in to the HAC station, so it was a bit of a stretch for me to call the Top 40 because their target audience is young. The DJ questioned me as to my name and where I was calling from. Don't know if he played Trespassing because I was driving to work and can't listen from there.
Tonight when I went to do my usual Mediabase requests to all of our local stations, the Top 40 station actually had BTIKM on the request form under new music ... they NEVER have any Adam songs on their Mediabase form... I always have to do a write-in. I don't know if they didn't have Trespassing and played BTIKM for me instead, or why they suddenly played BTIKM...just kind of weird. Maybe it's a warm-up for Trespassing and a show of support for our hometown boy??? Gotta hope.
