Well, college kids should be his demographic----we're talking 18-22 yr. olds. He needs this demo.

In my son's situation, his international booking agent and his manager get a cut of the money he makes performing internationally, not his label. It really doesn't matter if air travel expenses are "paid." Sometimes plane fare is included in the deal, but when it is not, the money paid for performing is higher in order to compensate for those fees.
New Year's Eve performances are always big pay performances, even for small names like my son, let alone for big names like Adam. He will make significantly more than his normal asking fee because promoters know you have to pay big that night to get the acts you want.
And he and the band will have a fantastic vacation to boot!

Why? Adam is a Pop artist. This age group is his demographic. He has plenty of fans in this age group. Look at PLL, that show is targeted to young girls. Why wouldn't DMG try to get him on at gigs like these? Many of these shows are held in large arenas! Ok Mods, mod me. I have had enough too. Argue, argue beat the dead horse, negative. people leaving right and left . ENOUGH. post positive No one has to be right all the time and try to prove it with argumentative psots. I'm with you. There is no need to try to irritate members, unless that is how some folks get their jollies.

hhmm... if you click on American Idol it will give you all the price range for each idol. Scotty's rate's the same as the two Davids, Daughtry is call for Free and off course you don't have Kelly & Carrie which will be more than Adam (150K - 250K) ETA: Adele, Carrie and Christinia's in 750-1mil range
I think some rates on that site might not be quite up-to-date, or reflecting the artists current market appeal and value.
As a ballpark, this is quite informative site, but at times it is also pretty entertaining. I did not know for example that "Nick Mitchell was the most memorable contestant on American Idol Season 8." :4OMG: ;D ;D ;D Yes, I thought you all here would appreciate to know that. Anyhow, thanks for posting it, because if you take it with a grain of salt, I think it is quite insightful. Q3: Thanks for your comments earlier, not sure I'm fully on board with all of them, but I appreciate the feedback and I agree with most of what you said.

lynne, I like to read your posts about your son...it's like getting a personal glimpse of an aspiring artist working his way in the show biz. Thank you for sharing with us!
Now, off to see the movie "Pitch Perfect", I hear they flash a nanosecond of Adam.
