Wow, a one-off sentence from Adam in a written interview from NZ which wasn't even a direct quote and suddenly Trespassing is over? :dunno:

Not as much creative control??! WUT?!! This album is excellent and has at least 4 great radio songs on it! It received critical raves from all but 3 reviewers! And the 2 that matter most, Billboard and Rolling Stone were all Glamberty about it! The problem with this album "taking off" has never been Adam! Lets hope the RCA suits are not given as much control this time on which songs to release as his first singles! If Cuckoo had been first, we'd be having a whole different conversation right now! I totally agree with you. But maybe RCA doesn't see it as their fault, you know. : OMG, based on this, Bieber and Taylor Swift are going to be around forever. and We grew up in the Rock age, and that's why Adam resonates with us. LMAOOOOOOO Bieber being around forever? kryptoman68, thanks for the link! It was quite interesting to read! Every time I listen to Trespassing I get into the mood of the first three songs really well and then get hit by the cold shower of NCOE. I love Adam's voice singing anything, but in the context of this album, it's pretty much the first track of his that I actually skip :-/. I skip NCOE and... Naked Love. :dunno: I loved Naked Love at first, but IDK... I got tired of it. :-/ I love NCOE live, which is weird. lol

I don't wanna sound angsty , but I just can't believe that Trespassing is over . A superior album , in many ways , .........I mean , how can they just move on ? It has SO many great songs !! I don't understand this . I don't know who to blame . RCA , maybe ? I mean , who the fuck picked the "safe" songs to be singles ? I'm sure it's not Adam's fault . He would have released one of HIS co-written songs as a first single , and another of HIS co-written songs for the second single . And RCA or DMG , or whatever it is , they want to move on and work on a third album , because this one failed , ALL BECAUSE OF TWO *FLOP* SINGLES *THE MANAGEMENT* PICKED ?? It's THEIR fucking fault . Adam worked SO HARD for this album , and that's what hurts me the most . I feel like crying . WE'VE waited SO LONG for this motherfucking album . So now , is everything over ?? What do we do now ?? There there, you mustn't cry sweetie. There really is so much positive to think about; keep reading Get angry by all means but not weepy! Besides, Q3 will zap you 8-). If that doesn't dry the tears nothing will .

Kamar, honey, no angst. Trespassing isn't over yet. We're mostly pondering things, we don't know anything for sure. I have faith in this album. It's great. I'm sure they will milk it as much as they can. Commercial success isn't everything. I seriously don't worry about Adam. I want him to be succesful, I love this album and want it to be succesful too, and I fucking want to see him live... but I don't worry about him not making big. He will. He's in his way. It's a difficult thing, the music biz, but he's too good and so very loved. He'll get there.

Why the angst? Adam has international concerts planned and a few very cool things in the US coming up. Trespassing is a great album, it opened at #1. It should have been a gold mine, but life isn't always fair and Adam's path is not going to be easy. But, I am THRILLED that he has a label behind him that isn't giving up. Yes RCA made screw-ups, but I also think things like the Queen concerts hurt the album. The timing was awful. Let's hope they have learned a few things and will get it right next time. I guess the group to be pissed at is radio. You know RCA wanted to get Adam a hit. Who knows what they are being told behind the scenes. Honestly, while BTIKM and NCOE weren't great choices, if RCA had had any indication that radio would welcome Trespassing they would have lead with it.

[/IMG]
It's a lot more than that. Personally, I didn't need an interview to see that the era was winding down. All the signs are there---third, unsupported single getting no AirPlay, no video; no TV promo, and an album off the radar. It happens. Eras end, some way to quick. It also doesn't mean that they are suddenly kicking Trespassing to the curb. Adam has a bunch of concerts planned.
