When I sat at my computer on the other side of the world that night, on-line - both here and twitter - spazzing like a mofo with everyone else, little did I realise that this would be the catalyst of what was to come for me. Never, EVER, in my wildest dreams or in a 1,000 parallel universes could I have ever imagined getting to see this 'magic' thing that had just unfolded before my eyes for myself five times, but also end up traveling around the world to do so. I don't think Adam, Brian or Roger actually realise how many people's lives changed that night and the lengths so many people went to, to see it for themselves. It really is a thing of wonder. Peeps were still thinking it was Bruno up there until the lights came on. It just couldn't be Adam up there singing with these legends. So proud of him. |

And hey, you got to change YOUR world too. I will always hold the Atop party in London as a very, very special time in my life. To meet so many of you at once was truly a 'hand over heart' moment.
Lol... and I remember you calling out to me from the row behind me and down a bit at Hammersmith.... "Catz, hey Catz..." and everyone (who were primarily at a Queen concert) looking around to see who the fuck 'Catz' was :4OMG: #priceless Strangely enough, I automatically answer to 'Catz' now :4OMG:
Anyways, on another OT note - although EMA's anniversary triggered it - (see what I did there Q3 :lninja: ) the 6th of November must be a special date of significance for me.
Tonight we have a residents meeting and for the first time in three years (almost to the day) of a long uphill battle with TPTB, we are getting together to sign the VERY FIRST OFFICIAL documents that are needed to get our land fix proper under way. We fianlly have all of officialdom on board, enough money and green lights from both Council and the Earthquake Commission. And what's best of all, is that as a group through patience, honesty, politeness, no finger pointing and some frickin awesome letter writing skills, we have ended up with everything we wanted - and then some!
Tonights signatures are required so that the Geo Techs can submit the FINAL engineering plans to Council for Resource and Building consents for what is going to be the MOTHER of all retaining walls. #notkidding 
Actual, real life, physical bulldozers/pile drivers/heavy equipment shit is scheduled to begin in the first 10 days of January - since NZ pretty much shuts down from Christmas Eve till early January....lol The whole country goes into laid back, holiday mode.
So - yes this November 6th, for me, is special too!

what a fun night that was! Also, I seem to remember that Adamtopia had a little over 300 members then, so we have grown by leaps and bounds since Adam's epic performance with Queen. An amazing night, and an amazing place Atop is. Thanks to all. |
