Some levity here, remember Dazgale, UK guy from London, an Adam fan Daz Gale þ@dazgale I don't know much about US politics but I've never seen Mitt Romney perform an Al Green song mid speech so I'm definitely team Obama. Just cause: Yes, indeed, Mr. President, you're going to do it.

I don't understand why they don't just hold polls on a weekend - that's what we do here in oz. Is always a Saturday. Always a Sunday in Spain. Holding elections on Tuesdays goes back to the horse and buggy days. Because that mode of travel was so slow, it took a long time for farmers to get to the polls, and they didn't want to travel on the Sabbath, so Monday was out because they'd have to start out the day before. Saturday would also be out since that would involve returning from voting on Sunday. Wednesday was market day, so farmers didn't want to vote on that day. Finally it was decided that Tuesday would be the most convenient day for everyone.
Many people think it's time we changed that tradition--and of course, with early voting and mail-in ballots, it has changed to a great degree. I don't think there are many, if any, states left where everyone has no choice but to go to the polls in person on the first Tuesday of November.

This will make you sick @whoopigoldberg Obama hanging at a Shell station in Jacksonville. WHY people are just sick pic.twitter.com/OYMvtdVl That should be considered a threat against our president and investigated. We had a similar situation here in Utah where a man set up a tableau outside his home in which a Romney effigy was holding the rope that hung an Obama effigy. A Secret Service agent was sent out to investigate, but it had already been taken down by the time he got there. It is absolutely nauseating to think that anyone would think such a display is funny and/or appropriate.

Emily Major þ@emilymajor09 @negativeneil: Sheriff Deputies, Poll Worker Harass Latinos in Swing State Colorado | The Nation j.mp/TITjQs Not surprised :( I just don't understand why elections need to be so very bitter. I took my 8 year old daughter today to vote with me. I told her I voted for Obama. She started talking about how Romney would make a terrible president. I'm sure just mouthing what the commercials say. I told her she needed to do some research about Romney before she had the right to say that. Then I told her that I didn't know if he would be a bad president or not... but he just didn't share my values, so I didn't vote for him. He may be the President Elect tomorrow. She best have some respect for him even if I disagree with just about everything he says he stands for. On the upside, I haven't received a phone call in the last 5 hours!

I think this election has been more bitter than most. More than I can remember anyway.

I feel there is a great chasm between the two parties at the present time. More than I have ever seen before :-/. When people say they are undecided, I really can't believe it. There is very little gray area left, IMO.
