I am afraid to watch may have to move back to England if Romney gets in. I am afraid some people's lives will be made miserable.

Virginia polls close at 7. If Romney loses there it's gonna be a big problem for him.

I think this election has been more bitter than most. More than I can remember anyway. I just logged in to say the same thing. I feel there is a great chasm between the two parties at the present time. More than I have ever seen before :-/. When people say they are undecided, I really can't believe it. There is very little gray area left, IMO. It is more than a chasm. I think there is racial prejudice against the President. I have acquaintances that "hate" Obama, and it is easy to read between the lines.

I am just holding my breath, hoping that concerted efforts to discourage and disenfranchise won't turn out to have been successful.

ARGGGGGHHH!!!!!
Ok - lines NOT as bad as I thought they were gonna be (my husband waited in line for and hour and a half and my MIL nearly 2 hours earlier today). But still.....
PEOPLE. YOU KNEW THERE WERE NINE QUESTIONS ON THE BALLOT. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU JUST READING ABOUT THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME WHEN YOU'RE STANDING AT THE VOTING BOOTH ??!!??!!??!!
My poll station had, I think, 18 booths for voters. And, all things considered, things were moving along decently rapidly. But there were a sizable percentage of people who were painstakingly reading the question language while voting. And the questions were HARD. Everything from the orphans court, to gay marriage, to police bargaining, to redistricting gerrymandering, to casino expansion, to allowing immigrant kids who graduate high school/sign up for draft/pay taxes to qualify for in-state university tuition, and a whole lot more.
For pity's sake people. The questions have been distributed for months. READ AND RESEARCH THEM BEFORE YOU TAKE UP PERMANENT RESIDENCY IN THE FREAKING BOOTH !!!

I have acquaintances that "hate" Obama, and it is easy to read between the lines. I know I'm not American, but I just don't understand the hate. And there is REAL HATE. From my dad's side of the family I have many many relatives/cousins across the border, mostly in Washington State and a small scattering of cousins in Idaho, California, and Nevada. In one family of cousins (my dad's sister's family) there is now an irreparable rift, with three siblings pro-Obama, and one sibling an avid right-winger Tea Party loyalist. This darling family is broken, probably forever. And it's not the dems who want it that way. Over a year and a half ago, the tea-party sibling cut off all communication with his brothers and sister, and started stockpiling ammunition on his ranch. He loathes Obama with a passionate hatred that I can't fathom. And I'm like WTF WTF??!!!! How is this even possible?

They're doing anything to WIN. I read last night the Auto Workers in Ohio's charging or suing Romney. He's going to be the first Presidential candidate that's charge for this crime. I cannot find the link now. I found it on Twitter. Did anyone read about this other than me?

I totally agree. A lot of people, mainly older in my experience, have a problem with President Obama being black. It's very sad.
