It's hard to watch a show you once liked after you find your personal musical hero. I have always watched Idol because it was the only vehicle for young singers to get time on TV to develop a fan base. It was easier before Adam because I didn't know that someone with real talent was out there waiting to showcase that authentic born-with, one-of-a-kind talent. It has been hard to give a damn when all you want to see and hear for the rest of your life is Adam. Kinda takes the wind out of your sails. The desire to be encouraging of new talent is gone. When you find the greatest, the rest don't seem to matter. Cruel, isn't it.

Irish he sure did kill idol-no matter who's on that stage Adam is an eternal ghost that lingers either in back of people's minds or front and center. |
