chapf - this is so cute so had to borrow - thank you! happy thanksgiving to all - I think we all have something to be thankful for...this is my favorite holiday. I am so thankful for living in the times that we are, for all my loved ones, for being able to enjoy every single day...  to all!

So, a little OT but still Adam related.....last week I picked up a stray dog running down the middle of the road. It's something I do all the time as I live out in the sticks and for some reason people dump their dogs when they get tired of caring for them. ANYWAYS, I've decided to foster this guy as he needs some socialization, some fixin', and TLC. So, I have to name him. I couldn't go with the obvious "Adam" as I already have an Adam and I caught some major eye-rolling from my DH when that came about. I thought maybe Sauli as the pup has almost the exact same coloring. BUT my DH is familiar with that name also -- it doesn't roll off his tongue but he's heard it before. So, brainstorm, the pup gives me his Huck Finn look this a.m. and it really did remind me of that childhood photo of Adam in costume. No, I'm not calling him Huck as I can just hear everyone around here singing the "Name Game" song.....Huck, Huck, fo, _______ . But, I came up with Mitch, short for Mitchell. Brilliant, right?! So, anyways, I have a new member in my furry friend society, MITCH!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my children, my sisters, my family and dear friends. I am thankful for my good health, and that I live in such a peaceful and beautiful spot. I am thankful Obama won. I am thankful to Adam whose journey has been so fascinating and informative, and who rekindled my interest in music.

 For those who don't know, creating the "hand" outline turkey is a nursery school-primary school "art" project. I just figured if Adam ever made one, it would be the Rocker Turkey! I'm thankful EVERY day. Love you guys! |
