For dancers : Please see Madonna's' Vogue' MTV 1990 award's video and Lady Gaga's 'Alejandro.' To quote Daniel Kreps about Alejandro........... Rolling Stone,June 8,2010..."half naked monk haired male dancers in high heels"

[/IMG]
Farcical - see Johnny Depp in "Cry Baby". A movie we happened to watch last night. I think probably the parts with Johnny Rice in Fever that may have come over that way weren't the dance moves with/without Adam but the simpering (and don't take that word badly, it's a description lol) relationship he was having with the wall/catwalk. He is very much one side of the spectrum, a side that allows Adam a bit more play than GNT's playfullness with Tommy. A more real playfullness in that it's a more comfortable reciprocallity.

Even though I don't need dancers with Adam on stage, I find both boys skilled, individual and fun. And since Adam has selected them and approved the performance, it must be in line with his view of the show.
I like very much that kind of playful and little bit "shameless" act, Johnny did.
However, since (ages ago) I was so shocked to find out how big topic this gay thing seems to be in his career, I have also grown a little fearful. Somehow I am not able to judge, what is a big thing and what is not, coming from an area where being gay is pretty much accepted.
It is really nice to hear from local audience all over the globe, what the reaction is.

I personally consider it very important that all people can be as they like also recarding sexual prefereces. That means that we should accept, for example, that this cross dressing or overtly feminine boy can be as good engineer as this masculine guy next door. As we have accepted, that women can. Or fully straight boy might like to dance ballet. It doesn't really matter, but our heads tend to be full of these preceptions.
And when somebody is acting against preceptions we tend to feel uncomfortable.
The great value in Adam is that he is pushing these boundaries, seducing people (us all) out of their comfort zone. He makes it very clear that versatile ways of living this life and search for happiness are all equally good.

I just got around to watch the the Chinese glambert's TP video and it's GREAT! Quote from the rap part: "Glitter alien with a golden heart, That's what makes you a superstar Minds bown up, walls toppled down Love and affection, passion and attraction Everything you brought to us is inspiration It's intoxication" If you missed it, here is the link again www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLe7YEXA_cEI also found it very lovely that there was a group of them at the Hennessy event. Fans with TP colours and signs - must have been nice for Adam to see them - and they got a lot of face time on the screens and in the stream.

Very interesting discussion this morning. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable or challenging, but sometimes stretching our ideas and perceptions is good mental exercise. As is accepting diversity in not only Adam's world, but here at ATop. What I find sexy, OTT, risque, off-putting, hot as hell, ridiculous, funny, provocative and delightful may be different from the next person posting. (For example, some like hirsute, very hairy guys, and that look creeps me out. I like hairless chests and others think that is effeminate. Yeah, TMI.)
Every person on the stage with Adam is "cast" for certain talents, looks, attitudes and visual statements. There are thousands of talented singers and dancers in LA just waiting for the opportunity to work on a gig like Adam's. He can have any color, size, shape, gender, talent he wants. Make no mistake. In terms of who Adam puts on stage he is definitely HBIC. I can only conclude that the people he cast for the show represent the statement he wants to make: embracing diversity. Bravo, Adam. I'm just along for the ride.
