Very interesting discussion this morning. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable or challenging, but sometimes stretching our ideas and perceptions is good mental exercise. As is accepting diversity in not only Adam's world, but here at ATop. What I find sexy, OTT, risque, off-putting, hot as hell, ridiculous, funny, provocative and delightful may be different from the next person posting. (For example, some like hirsute, very hairy guys, and that look creeps me out. I like hairless chests and others think that is effeminate. Yeah, TMI.) Every person on the stage with Adam is "cast" for certain talents, looks, attitudes and visual statements. There are thousands of talented singers and dancers in LA just waiting for the opportunity to work on a gig like Adam's. He can have any color, size, shape, gender, talent he wants. Make no mistake. In terms of who Adam puts on stage he is definitely HBIC. I can only conclude that the people he cast for the show represent the statement he wants to make: embracing diversity. Bravo, Adam. I'm just along for the ride. That's a great point: embracing diversity and I love that. That's a part of what Adam stands for and he really shows diversity in so many things he does or creates. But I must say that this one facette of diversity which Jonny represents is just not my cup of tea. Not because he is showing a side of feminine "gayness", which for me is absolutely fine, but because he is playing sexy as a show whereas Adam and Terrence are playing WITH their sexiness, for me that's a big difference. What I really loved about the Glamnation dancing was the concept with the 4 dancers, all of them sexy as hell. ;D Oh, not to forget Adam and Tommy ;D

I love it when Adam does duets. 8-) 1) By the way, is someone from Atop (or someone we know) going to the Cindy Lauper gig? Can we hope for some videos? I guess we won't get a stream this time, but I'm sure he's going to sing with a bunch of great people and I HAVE to see that. #EntitledFan I'm going. We have VIP front orchestra tix, so my plan is to stream it. Depending on venue, I am not sure yet whether I can stream entire show or just Adam. www.ustream.tv/channel/vistadiva

Guys, rather than demand that people check their comments at the door, couldn't we understand that people are all different places in their social evolution and explain rather than attack. We should also acknowledge that a great deal of this world shares far worse understanding of the complexities of homosexuality and sexuality in general. I think we should encourage the conver sation in order to help each other understand. One sided conversations get nowhere. And this really is a worthy conversation. It doesn't matter how WE perceive the overtly gay performance but how the publics will perceive it. I rarely post because I usually don't have anything interesting to say but I cannot not respond to this comment. I absolutely agree with you! I am going to talk about myself, but I think, with certain approximation, I may well represent an average person who grew up in a very conservative society in Eastern Europe and has been exposed to gay culture fairly recently. Before Adam I knew 0 (zero) gays. I have never been to a gay bar. I am orthodox christian. Where I grew up people were sent to prison for homosexuality in the 1960s. Slowly our post-communist society became more acceptable, but still it is not OK to be gay. Now imagine my reaction to ROF - amazed by the vocals, yet very uncomfortable from the dripping sexuality. Three years later I am arguing with my male friend in Bulgaria (who has many gay friends but does not want to see homosexuality shown on TV or on the streets) that gay people should have the right to be gay in public. Yet, overly gay dancing still makes me feel uncomfortable. Would I offend somebody here with this confession? Most probably. But here I said it. I learn. I develop and I haven't stopped doing so since March 2009. And I am certain one day I will be able to fully understand and enjoy all angles of that Fever performance!
