You are welcome! I am sooooo hoping Adam will schedule a concert (or 2 or 3) in Spain. I so want to come back to your beautiful country! 2 or 3 would be nice. ;D ;D ;D Aww, I hope he really comes to Spain one day, and of course I hope I can see you here WHEN it happens!

So, has this discussion evolved enough today to discuss whether Adam's more overtly gay performance style will be a good career move, should he contine down this path everywhere? And please, I certainly know that he doesn't compromise his values for fame, yada yada. But this seems like an obvious point to discuss.

Albiku, you are typical in your speaking difficulty, but too close to not take the step to reading, writing AND speaking. All it takes is speaking. To yourself if necessary. Not that you don't have enough on your plate now, but someday. Hopefully, I will be able to focus on the speaking as soon as I have enough time. I love English, so I want to learn as much as I can. I do talk to myself in English. Sometimes, my boyfriend and I talk in English too, haha. I've even dreamed in English. But still, I mess up the pronunciation of lots of words. It's kinda frustrating. :-/

Thanks all for the info on farcical? I just didn't recognize it out of context but it was good to delve deeper into it. I especially like how I had to ask the meaning of a word posted by a non native English speaker. I am so impressed by the language skills here, especially by how quickly you all pick up on slang and the nuances of how to use it. That's the hardest to teach, but here is obviously a good place to learn. You are obviously all studying closely. As an English as a Second Language teacher in a looong ago life, can I suggest you all talk and read out loud if you aren't already? It is so common for people to be able to read and understand foreign languages well but not speak them. There is one particular reason why it is easy for us foreigners to learn English easily - we are constantly exposed to it through every possible media outlet. Particularly in countries which do not synchronize films ( I'm not sure what the right word is, but it's when you don't hear, for example, Brad Pitt's voice, but an actor from a particular country reading his role), which is, imo, a crime, to say the least. If I were Brad Pitt, I'd sue them:) They ruin the artistic integrity of a movie in order to expose the viewers to their mother tongue instead, i.e. not expose them to English. Some dislike the dominance of English, imo. Luckily, it's not done in Serbia. I'm sure if you watched films, listened to music, read books, surfed the net... in Serbian, you would be fluent in it in no time;) It's called dubbing, instead of subtitling. We also subtitle in Finland, and I am grateful for that, being a movie freak and also thinking that movie is a piece of art, and you need keep it as it is. The whole sound landscape is so essential part of the experience.

I know what they, are, what they mean, and can use them when writing, I just can't say them. And of course I hear my mother's voice (and not just from my childhood) correcting my pronunciation, grrrr. If we ever get bored I'm in for a conversation on how our mother's drive us crazy.

I think no matter how diverse or far away our opinions might be everyone gets the right to express their feelings and point of views to me the key is to respect it is always that not everyone is gonna like the same thing and that's perfectly fine no need to label it that's what I think is embracing the diversity
anything hot, sexy, OTT, off-putting or whatever.. they are what they are like it, not like it or indifferent ... that's it
