[/IMG] MAN ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite Trespassing!
Isn't he the guy who just did a short European concerts with that Legend Rock Band Queen? I wonder if these two Queen members are out of their mind choosing the guy who can't sing to be their frontman? Yeah indeed they're out of their mind! :

True, adamme. One of the things I don't "get" about some Queen fans is the disrespect for Brian and Roger! :dunno:

Could anyone take pity on a person who is only getting the X and post the interview text here. Thanks... 8-) Can you access this page? It won't let me copy the text but maybe it will show up for you.
i49.tinypic.com/zspftx.pngDid you see the open text on page 10? Or can you somehow not see that either? Or maybe I am missing something here....sorry, if I misunderstood. ============================== Regarding vocals discussion: It is one of the dilemmas of a society that reduces its education system to the three 'R's, that if the family does not expose a child to adequate music, that person will go through life without actually knowing what a good voice is or what it means to have a trained voice. While of course a lot is based on taste, some of it can be assessed, but not by somebody who is completely uneducated in this area. Can somebody who is clueless about wine establish what is a good wine and what is not? Nope. While that person obviously has tastebuds and can establish what tastes good to them, the average untrained person is not able to establish criteria by themselves that allow them to pick out good wine, especially not from regions and types of grapes they are not familiar with. They get it hopelessly wrong, if asked. Now one could argue that objective quality criteria are irrelevant. That it only matters what tastes good to me and not what somebody else can measure. The problem becomes marked when something is different, but still good. It tends to get rejected or has at least a much larger likelihood to receive a bad review. Adam's music is sonically breaking into new territory. People are not used to hearing male voices in the range that Adam typically sings in. People also are not used to the technical diversity that Adam brings to his songs. Pop is usually sung in just one way, because that is all the singers know. There is a reason that Adam is appreciated and understood so much more in musically educated circles. OF course there are others that may not have a music background, but still are receptive to the 'wavelength' that allows Adam to be appreciated, but it seems still quite rare in the general population. Many react just based on their personal perceptions and they will often exclude anything Adam does, because Adam is in uncharted terrain. This get's only resolved over time. Familiarity is created eventually. If needed it is delayed by a music generation (7-10 years), but something initially new will eventually be considered familiar. I have to say, that LindaG23's suggestion does sound intriguing. Got to try that sometime. At least it would separate the prejudice from the actual discussion about vocals and that already would be a start, imo.

I disagree. I am completely uneducated and had limited exposure to music growing up. In fact music was never much a part of my life before Adam. I cannot tell you if he is in tune or anything about why he sounds great. But I still know he sounds great! Anyone who truly listens and says otherwise is lying, or won't let themselves admit it. No other reasons will I believe!
Mys*&@^#r, that London Showcase Trespassing is one of my all time favorite performances from either album! Something about the...tone? (see, no music knowledge at all) And I believe it was his first ever too, wasn't it.

I try to keep myself open to all music. I pride myself on being a great audience, and I always appreciated all kinds of music. I grew up on Caruso. I was listening to him in the womb. I could always tell who had the X factor (that extra something) and a great voice. However, since Adam walked around that corner on American Idol and opened his mouth, I haven't stopped comparing every singer to Adam. No one measures up to Adam. I haven't really liked another singer for the last four years. This is how much Adam has changed my life. I bought Pink's CD, I bought Sam Sparro (okay CD), but I always compare them to Adam. I have never been this focused on a singer before. I still think Adam has been the best singer to come along in 25-30 years. Maybe KD Lang. I have always loved her. She is from the 60's/70's - right? I don't know what to do about this obsession with Adam's voice. His is the only pure sound that affects my brain neurons and brings my body cells to life. Yay!!!
