See, Adam loves us. Why do I always feel like he means it? And I really do feel it. It feels warm and squishie.

I try to keep myself open to all music. I pride myself on being a great audience, and I always appreciated all kinds of music. I grew up on Caruso. I was listening to him in the womb. I could always tell who had the X factor (that extra something) and a great voice. However, since Adam walked around that corner on American Idol and opened his mouth, I haven't stopped comparing every singer to Adam. No one measures up to Adam. I haven't really liked another singer for the last four years. This is how much Adam has changed my life. I bought Pink's CD, I bought Sam Sparro (okay CD), but I always compare them to Adam. I have never been this focused on a singer before. I still think Adam has been the best singer to come along in 25-30 years. Maybe KD Lang. I have always loved her. She is from the 60's/70's - right? I don't know what to do about this obsession with Adam's voice. His is the only pure sound that affects my brain neuron and brings my body cells to life. Yay!!!

OK I've decided what I want from Saturday Night Live. I want a sexy moves dance off between Adam Lambert and Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Concords (as seen above). Like dueling banjos. Adam would win of course but Jemaine would at least hold his own. Please universe you know you want it.... Adam if you are reading this you know this could be seriously awesome. Does anyone here know anyone at SNL? The dance off could be for some hot 40 year old women. And none of them would pay attention to Jemaine, so he would get more and more desperate. Small claps maybe. Then adam would do something small and they'd all scream and Adam would just look at Jemaine, raise his eyebrows and shrug. They'd all pay attention to Adam. Then Sauli could come on for one second and ask Adam if he's ready to go and Adam would walk off with Sauli and the screaming would only get louder as he walks off set with his man. Ahhhh this has to happen.

I used to thank the universe that Adam was accepted on American Idol. None of us could believe he hadn't been discovered before. We kept saying "where did this guy come from." "Where has he been all this time." I always wonder what would have happened to him if he hadn't been on Idol. He probably would have gone to New York and been on Broadway. I would never have known that. I live in Florida. I have no idea who is on Boardway. I would not even know who Adam Lambert was. Everytime I think of that, I want to put my head down on the desk and cry. What a loss for me, for us. That voice. That face. That grace. That intelligence, charm, love, laughter. To have that lost to the world would have been a sin. Am I exaggerating? I know a lot of you feel the same way. (No, I don't think he is god, but boy is he ever special.)
