19 does still have his merchandise rights though. I don't know why or for how long. They do not have Daughtry's even though they are still with 19R, as is Adam. So, I am going to guess that the term is 5 years. 19 Merchandise Adam Lambert Casey Abrams Haley Reinhart Jessica Sanchez Lauren Alaina Lee DeWyze Phillip Phillips Scotty McCreery I wish 19 Merchandise would put out some merchandise. I would even settle for an Adam Lambert singing toothbrush. I was in Walgreens this weekend and the whole store was full of Taylor Swift "Red" items. The girl is just everywhere. |

Interesting to see who they picked up and who they didn't. No Kris Allen? And what about that screechy girl from season 9 or 10 who everyone was comparing to Adam? What happened to her? They still own Kris Allen and Allison's merchandise rights -- they just do not list them. I believe merchandising rights for Season 8 contracts is 5 years. So about 2 more years for Adam.
So...currently, Adam is with:
Management --- DMG
Recording Contract --- 19R
Label --- RCA
Merch. Rights --- 19 Merchandise (2 more years)
Boyfriend --- Sauli (aka Love & Happiness)

Yes, there is definitely money being left on the table regarding merchandise. Whether it is the fan club or 19 or whoever is allowed to do it, the right designs on the right merchandise would move. But DMG is doing a great job getting Adam gigs and magazine covers, etc. Can't wait for the Divas... And, Smokie, speaking of the gift that keeps on giving, I frequently (understatement) listen while I work to the Kiev concert. But when I have time to actually watch it - Oh My! Adam is so beautiful, and the interaction between Adam and Brian, Adam and Roger, and Roger and Brian... such fun to see all that love and how much fun they are having. While I was watching Adam looking gorgeous and being so charming and bright during all of his interviews today in NYC, it occurred to me that maybe he and Sauli are going to take this opportunity to spend more time there. Adam did once say he'd like to live there, and Sauli seems to love the city, too. Some areas have a European flair, the city's probably easier for Sauli to navigate, and it might provide a more central base for Adam's overseas touring travel, etc. Or... maybe a place in London for a while, if there are rehearsals for another QAL collab. And not too far from Finland... Will be interesting to see what happens. |
