So many topics in one day, so many gifts, so much laughter, but also a few points for reflection. Let me start with that one first.
Sorry for the OT start, but I know that there are multiple astronomy buffs here on this site, so I just wanted to mention that over the weekend Patrick Moore passed away. Many will know him from the BBC program called 'The Sky at Night' or from the book he published together with Brian May: 'Bang! The Complete History of the Universe'. Brian has in his blog today his own eulogy and he references the other important sites for those interested.
www.brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssb.htmlFor me there is a piece of the old England lost with him, an England that praised and honored individuality and worked diligently towards the dissemination of knowledge and education. I sense that Brian feels a little more alone in the world now with him gone and so my thoughts are with him.
I read that others here have today found videos on this thread that triggered their own memories of loved ones and my thoughts are with you too. What enrichment the artistic community is bringing to all our lives. Mind-boggling that even 30 years ago, so much artistic expression was met with nothing but a non-understanding eye-roll. We have come a ways since then, and yet we still have far to go. In a way, the constant questioning of Adam about the guy-liner is just an updated version of what went down in that Donahue show back then. For some it still just seems to be a freak show.
But clearly the shows themselves and the interviewers have moved on. What delight today to see such a positive reception of Adam on all the shows. I think the briefing material that must have gone out to all of them (probably the same one in each case) could use a little update. Given that two of the shows had exactly the same talking points and exactly the same information wrong (i.e. Queen concerts have already happened), I am wondering whether the information handed to the hosts for their preparation was actually outdated. Soledad looked awfully surprised when Adam corrected her about the concerts, like she had received wrong preparation material. Now who prepares that? CNN in-house or is it sent to them by Adam's management (in this case DMG)?
Adam was in fantastic form as usual and I am just again surprised with what ease he does a brilliant job at these situation, not that I should not know this after 4 years, but still it is a wonderful confirmation each time that he does these media appearances so brilliantly.
Talk about brilliant.

And what does this lead to in the wide world of Glam? One minute you read intellectual deep-end debates on topics like Freemasonry (
vigilantcitizen.com/vigilantreport/the-hidden-hand-that-changed-history), next minute you find a tweet from the shallow yet brilliant end, talking about the fandom having a
Adamn Bonerpartey
I just love this fandom.
You guys make me laugh, you make me cry, you make me think, you make me happy. I have no idea whether Adam's hand position is some kind of 'pomgranate' situation or whether he wants to debate Jahbulom with us. I doubt it is the latter, but on the other hand I do know that Adam wants us to talk about him, and that we do.
Overnight our daily threads jumped the 300,000 mark for number of posts in the daily threads. The whole ride has been less than 4 years now, and this site is only around since 16 months of those and he made us talk 300,000 times in just our daily chats.
And there are so many others chattering too, twitter, FYE, AO (even though temporarily comatose), IDF, TWOP, and on and on it goes...
I was over on AO yesterday, their threads are not moving like here, but there were new posts about everything we are talking about here. If you are seeing nothing but China related posts, you are looking at some old cached pages that are now hanging around somewhere, until RCA fixes their mess and it flushes its way through the bowels of the www .
Meanwhile, I have now chatted enough and will send this with thanks for a great day of fun and interesting reads and wonderful videos.
Nite-nite all.
