Adam's management DMG has been doing an awesome job exploring/exploiting the Asian market and other Adam hotspots (Finland, Russia, South Africa, etc.), but those markets are not vital to music sales. It's absolutely wonderful that Adam makes tons of money off those concerts but he needs another commercially successful album to further his career.
I'm guessing there would still be some non-tour dates in the US while he's working on his new album...my hunch is he'd be doing less writing this time around. I don't understand. How would he have a commercially successful new album, if there's no hit from the current one? Wouldn't it be cheaper for everyone if they just worked on trying to get a hit single out of the exsisting album? And why would he be doing less writing? It's not as if the singles he didn't write had proved themselves.

Not sure if @alidol has tweeted this out yet since I'm not on twitter...
Anyway, this was from last night while the Atop server was down, Queen/Adam's EMA performance, "The Show Must Go On", was aired in China on CCTV, in a program called "Classics" --- a mix of classical opera (Pavarotti) to Pop/Rock extraordinaries (The Beatles). I did a couple of screen caps:

If, God forbid, anyone missed Sunday's show for whatever reason, all is not lost. I noticed that the Palladia channel will be showing 2012 Divas on Dec. 22, 23, 24 at various times.

The Lynsey interview was nice in that it showed that regardless Adam is felling good about Trespassing, as should we. But it made me sad because I am not ready to move on at all. There's still so much potential in this album. It wasn't given it's due, gosh darn it! So, what will he do differently next time? What did they learn from the singles not connecting with radio? How will he be faster this time? I predict that he doesn't write. :( If they learned anything, it is that he should write. The two singles that held the album back are the ones he didn't write. Oh, I agree too. But my prediction still stands. Thus the frowny face. Obviously radiofriendly is still their goal. Imo Adam's best written songs were the non radio friendly ones. Maybe if they can quickly find some really smart songs of substance (there are a few of these out there on radio) they can get the attention held on him. But i'd be happy with giving up on radio all together. This is a fine line to walk and should be interesting. Albiku, please tell me you own GNL?! Miles better than FYE IMO. (Except for the ones not done live.)

I was VERY disappointed that he was not on Trespassing and still believe that Adam Lambert + Max Martin = Radio Gold!!! Bring on the Swed!!!

David Wild @wildaboutmusic What Diva-esque behavior will @adamlambert display on @vh1's Divas show? Tune in Sunday night to see. pic.twitter.com/4tBh8qeKSo, no discussion yet on why Adam is lying under the piano? Any guesses? Will he ooh and aah lying down there (Donna Summer song)? Is he just having a little Diva relaxation moment? lol... Anyhow, I also believe that Adam will not sing anything from his album this time. It may break our hearts, but the commercial reality is that 'Adam Lambert' - 'the brand' needs to be built up further right now and not the album. I think DMG is totally doing the right thing, and if Adam is talking about going back into the studio, then it sounds like RCA is on board. Maybe they will only write a few new songs and use some of the 40 songs Adam has written for Trespassing, of which many were not left off the album because they were not good, but rather because they did not fit the overall theme or musical direction of the album. This could speed up the process big time, if some of the material is already there, and cost wise it is also a good idea. We don't know, but it looks like they are looking forward and I think they should. There are chances to do a few balads, something Adam has not done in a while. There could be more Max Martin kind of stuff, there are so many directions this could go, and it would never be difficult to tour, because Adam could always combine some of the Trespassing material and some new material and it would all work out. As sad as it is for Trespassing and as undeserved as it may be, I think they are doing the right thing by moving forward. Soooo looking forward to Sunday. And no, I don't think that Adam will sing from under the piano, I rather think that this picture is from is one of those short funny videos they are filming ahead of time. They have somebody with great ideas on board, and that is somebody who gets Adam and can work within the realm of ideas that work for him. I love it.
