Genetics are a tricky thing, and difficult to understand. The way we are is not only determined by our genes, the environment plays a big, big part. Take Diabetes, for instance. If Diabetes runs in your family, it's probable that you'll get it when you're older, it has a genetic component. But if you lead a healthy life, maybe you won't get it. Take identical twins. If you separate them from birth and you let them grow up in different environments, then they will end up being REALLY different, even if they have the exact same genes. So what makes a person gay/lesbian/bisexual/whatever? Well, who the fuck knows? Maybe it's as simple as human diversity. I've studied in a very, VERY religious college. I've heard horrible things about homosexuality from my professors. They've tried to teach me that it's a disease, that it can (and must) be cured. I had a professor who told us he had cured gay people. So I'm very, VERY tired of dangerous theories and wild guesses. In the case of this study, if you have a theory give me scientific facts, not guesses based on Mathemathics. : Glampoon, all my gay friends have had proper father figures growing up.

Didn't Adam say once that they had like 40 or 50 songs recorded for Trespassing and it was really hard to pick the tracks for the album?
I think that everything that Adam is doing is going to pay off in the end. I think it's great that he wants to release more music. Another project! He seems happy where he is right now -- in LA, doing music, getting TV exposure. More songs equates to longer performances in his eventual tour. I've always thought he needs a song that will grab everyone of all ages -- for some it may already be WWFM and/or Mad World but I'd like to see it be something that he has written.
I mean, everyone knows and identifies this song with Chris Isaak, I think most everyone likes it when they hear it and it's one that worms it's way into life events -- Adam needs a life event song. "Oh, yeah, remember when we were (blah, blah, blah) and this song was playing?!" Of course, we all have Adam life event songs -- I just want everyone else to have them too!

Adam's reference to new material and working on a new album reminds me of last cycle. In July and August 2010 he started talking about a new album planned for Spring 2011. At the time, the Europe and Asia Pacific GNT were in the formation stage and he said he was going to go to Europe in November-December and would work on the album there. As I recall, creative fan rumors had him meeting up with Bowie in London and working with Max Martin when he was in Sweden. Neither happened.
I take all Adam time references with a hunk of salt. But I am certain RCA wants an album out sooner than later. They also probably want it to be more mainstream in terms of themes and direction.
>> I would love them to record Adam singing on a stage and not in a studio. Perhaps they could that X plus that is just not in the studio recordings. (As long as they record the vocal without audience noise.)
Regarding new direction -- he said the day after Idol that each album was going to be different. He said it many times since then.
I can't imagine that he will not do any concerts in the US this summer.

Adam's management DMG has been doing an awesome job exploring/exploiting the Asian market and other Adam hotspots (Finland, Russia, South Africa, etc.), but those markets are not vital to music sales. It's absolutely wonderful that Adam makes tons of money off those concerts but he needs another commercially successful album to further his career.
I'm guessing there would still be some non-tour dates in the US while he's working on his new album...my hunch is he'd be doing less writing this time around. I don't understand. How would he have a commercially successful new album, if there's no hit from the current one? Wouldn't it be cheaper for everyone if they just worked on trying to get a hit single out of the exsisting album? And why would he be doing less writing? It's not as if the singles he didn't write had proved themselves. I don't think he'll do less writing because has proven to be an excellent writer. The writing isn't the problem with Trespassing's commercialbility (is that a word.) For the first 2 singles it was choice and produciton. Please, RCA, keep Dr Luke away from the 3rd album...... far, far away!! Katycake, to answer your question, it would be very difficult to get radio to play a 4th single after they did not like the first 3. Cuckoo has always been the perfect Pop radio single and I don't even think they'd latch onto that one now, unless something extraordinary happened.

It takes time to accept out of box and unorthodox things. Especially when it is religion or personal belief comes to play. Sometimes it may even never will be understood. People are diverse. I just hope for less hatred.
