Let me ask, I thought both of these choices were incorrect. They dismissed genetic components years ago. I don't know the correct term but something about "markers" may have been identified -- maybe. Men from the mother's side, and ladies from the father's side. I def don't think it's a choice (well, for some it may be but I'm not talking about the people who identify from a early age). If the "markers" are part of a genetic component then I'll vote but right now I feel like it may be a trick question (pardon me). same link as I posted before: www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2012/12/13/ac-homosexuality-genetics-study.cnnSCROLL ALERT - BIOLOGY 101 That little CNN bit does not say anything and does not explain epi-genetics at all. First we need to separate between genetic parameters that are responsible for the physical properties of male or female. As an embryo we all start physically looking female than if the embryo is XY certain hormones start a cascade of events making this embryo have male genitals. We know this as there are several mutations in which elements in this cascade do not work and the babies born are with both genitalia or in some cases they are male (XY) but from the outside the genitalia looks female. In a very well known extreme case in a tribe were inter-marrige occured frequently some babies are born looking female and when puberty starts they start developing male genitalia. Testosterone abnormalities can fall into the above group of mutations (there are other genes involved as well). When a zygote is created the DNA from the sperm enters the nucleus of the egg cell (oocyte). The oocyte is a cell - meaning it contains a nucleus with the DNA inherited from the mother and father and an organelle called Mitochondria. The mitochondria has its own DNA (this DNA source will be only from the mother) and there are known mutation/variations in humans that are coming from the mitochondria DNA and not from the nuclear DNA. We know that this is the case as we can trace back some diseases to the mitochondria DNA. These type of mutations can be called epi-genetic as they are not derived from the nuclear genetic material but from a different source. Other epi genetic factors could be other parameters that come from the oocyte that are not being derived from the nuclear DNA. Being attracted to the same or opposite sex or anything in between (I think this is a range and not either or) could be coming from changes in olfactory cells sending different signals as a reaction to pheromones to exposure to internal and external hormones during pregnancy. There are a lot of options. I think this sexual range is genetic but there is a lot of work needed to decipher what is going on. Sorry for the long ramble...

I don't understand. How would he have a commercially successful new album, if there's no hit from the current one? Wouldn't it be cheaper for everyone if they just worked on trying to get a hit single out of the exsisting album? And why would he be doing less writing? It's not as if the singles he didn't write had proved themselves. I don't think he'll do less writing because has proven to be an excellent writer. The writing isn't the problem with Trespassing's commercialbility (is that a word.) For the first 2 singles it was choice and produciton. Please, RCA, keep Dr Luke away from the 3rd album...... far, far away!! Katycake, to answer your question, it would be very difficult to get radio to play a 4th single after they did not like the first 3. Cuckoo has always been the perfect Pop radio single and I don't even think they'd latch onto that one now, unless something extraordinary happened. Thanks for answering, but I truelly don't get it - if the first 2 or 3 singles didn't succeed, why would radio care if the next one is off of another album or the same one? Do they even follow such things? Isn't it about the song itself?

albiku, listened to FYE for the first time in a long time the other day. It is an excellent album!! Pretty damn perfect for his debut after Idol. Adam can be very, very proud that his 2 albums so far are of such high quality! Q3, agree 100%! There is no way we won't see Adam in some casinos and summer fairs this summer. Hopefully, even a mini Queen tour! I just hope we get some dates within the next few months so I can plan our vacation. Yes, people! I am actually waiting to plan our trip to Europe until I find out Adam's schedule! #BSC!!! :-/

I've studied in a very, VERY religious college. I've heard horrible things about homosexuality from my professors. They've tried to teach me that it's a disease, that it can (and must) be cured. I had a professor who told us he had cured gay people. up. Whenever I hear comments on homo ppl like this, my reaction is always LOL . But it is understandable. It takes time to accept out of box and unorthodox things. Especially when it is religion or personal belief comes to play. Sometimes it may even never will be understood. People are diverse. I just hope for less hatred. I went to a church service a few weeks ago and had to walk out. The preacher started on about "Adam and Eve", not "Adam and Steve". I'm like, WUT!! The part that really got to me was it was one of those services where everyone is shouting out Amen! and Hallelujah! and the congregation was almost hysterical when the Adam and Steve part was exclaimed. I've never felt such hatred in my life. It was actually scary. I left. I've been so pissed off about that for weeks. We have a long way to go before people of different orientations are just accepted and not judged. I can't even come close to imagining the fear one must feel when their life style could actually bring on a physical attack. Adam has taught me alot but I do know that I will never fully comprehend the fear that some people must live with due to our society's misconceptions. Adam is brave on so many levels.

Forgot to answer the Ellie Goulding question. Basically, Interscope resurrected her from the dead!! Her single came out here around the same time as BTIKM. It didn't get as high as BTIKM on the HAC charts and was dropping fast as BTIKM was climbing! It went "recurrent" because it had been losing spins fast and was on the charts for the amount of time they give a song before they pull it. Went recurrent on a Sunday. Then 2 days later, there it is back on the HAC chart. The number watchers were all going "HUH??!!!" Lo and behold, it suddenly shows up on the Pop charts from out of NOWHERE!!!!!! Goes into power rotation on several big stations and the rest is history! Big hit for her on radiio and sales!! No one knows what Interscope pulled (or why,) but whatever it was, it was a good one! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Adam's reference to new material and working on a new album reminds me of last cycle. In July and August 2010 he started talking about a new album planned for Spring 2011. At the time, the Europe and Asia Pacific GNT were in the formation stage and he said he was going to go to Europe in November-December and would work on the album there. As I recall, creative fan rumors had him meeting up with Bowie in London and working with Max Martin when he was in Sweden. Neither happened. I take all Adam time references with a hunk of salt. But I am certain RCA wants an album out sooner than later. They also probably want it to be more mainstream in terms of themes and direction.I can't imagine that he will not do any concerts in the US this summer. LOL Adam Time Zone! That's so true but as we all sense it there's an urgency from RCA, I'm totally expecting at least a lead single before the year end (2013). Yes, it would be unwise not to do a non-tour in the US, and we all know Adam is a pretty smart cookie.
