Checking in and I've lost another pound! Seems like a lot of work trying to be good for one measly pound, but knowing I'm checking in here every week is really helping me stay motivated. Had some events on the weekend so wasn't being good all week, so actually pretty good that I still lost a pound!
Had another ankle x-ray, no cartilage broken off so the doctor is now sending me to an orthopoedic specialist, but who knows how long before I get an appointment.
Some great recipe suggestions. Although I cook breakfast as part of my job, I don't love cooking, and don't do any other than when I need to cook breakfast. DH is the chef in our house. Good luck to everyone in sticking to your plan! Juniemoon, you're doing so well!

lol,I don't have any aunts who visit any more. My weigh in was better than I expected. I don't know compared to last week but down 3 for the duration. I've been freezing lots of strawberries. Nice to have something to do with them even if they are slightly old. I know I can turn them into smoothies.

Thursday - Indoor GrillThe indoor grill now stays on the kitchen counter instead of in a cupboard. In fact, because I have such a small amount of kitchen counter it actually stays on the stove. Upstream juniemoon mentioned her George Forman grill. I had one too but my version didn't have removable plates so it was a pain to clean. This year I got a Cuisinart. The plates come out and they are grooved on one side and flat on the other. I cook with it closed like the first picture but the hubby likes cooking breakfast with it laid out flat like the 2nd picture. Both sides drain grease which is something I can't get the hubby to do much of on his own. I am very careful with non-stick cookware anymore. We lost two parakeets a couple of years ago when a non-stick got heated up too much and sent out fumes. My regular pots and pans are now all stainless steel.

joining stardust in the murky shadows of shame... depending on how I stand on the scale, I either lost a lb this week or I didn't. so I'm calling it 1/2 lb down. sounds like some of us might be shoveling 2' of snow this weekend...that should work off a few calories!

Friday - Standing Side Leg Lifts
Do these while watching an Adam video at your desk. Push the chair back and make sure you have a wide clear area. I like keeping a hand on the wall or back of the chair to keep my balance.
Stand on one leg and raise the other to the side as high as comfortable the return to starting position. Do sets of 20. If you aren't feeling it add leg weights or pull against an exercise band.

You guys, earlier in the week we were talking about music at the aerobics class and the skating rink. Well, last night my aerobics instructor decided to "motivate" us, and in the middle of the song "Oh Baby Baby," shrieked out IMAGINE USHER IS IN HERE WATCHING YOU!!! Talk about sucking all the energy out of a room.
