Friday - Standing Side Leg LiftsDo these while watching an Adam video at your desk. Push the chair back and make sure you have a wide clear area. I like keeping a hand on the wall or back of the chair to keep my balance. Stand on one leg and raise the other to the side as high as comfortable the return to starting position. Do sets of 20. If you aren't feeling it add leg weights or pull against an exercise band. This is I. You guys follow jablea's instruction, stat!

Saturday - Pomegranates
I have one sitting on my counter. What the heck do I do with it? I bought one last month, seeded it and thought, wow fruit, lets use it in a smoothie. Bad idea. The rest of the seeds sat in my fridge a few weeks and I finally threw them out. This one was a gift.
I think I've thrown some in salads a couple of times before but that doesn't use much. I don't care for them by themselves, the little seeds inside the juicy seeds are a pain. Maybe I'll have to steam juice it. They are supposed to be good for you and of course ever since the Better Than I Know Myself video they are official Glambert food but really? How do you use them?

I decided to brush off my live journal account and keep a journal about my fitness journey. I've made a few posts today just giving some background and summary to date. Monday - The Tape Measure
A flexible tape measure is easiest to use if you are going to input your figures into the calculators rihannasu is showing in her blog upstream. For many people the measuring tape is a better indicator of how you are doing than a scale is because it takes into account your muscle building. (muscles weigh more but measure smaller)
If nothing else measure these two places and keep track. Waist - same level as belly button Hips - widest point
And do take a visit to those calculators, they'll tell you how much fat you are carrying around. it's really time to stop making jokes about not being able to see my toes. Damn!

Tuesday - Do the Twist
Yep, Let's do the Twist. Lots of ways to move.
Stand with both legs braced Shift body weight from one leg to the other Bend your knees and pretend to go under water
My favorite place to shop for exercise equipment is our neighborhood second hand store. It was there that I found this. Tonight I wrapped my ankle weights around the pole to add some weight to it.
