Yay! Down 1.6 from last Wednesday. I've done a better job this week of staying under calorie goal. Not as much pigging out. LOL

Wednesday - Check in Day
rihannsu's already checked in upstream. Great results as almost always.
Considering I lost my part time job last week I've done fairly well on not overdoing the emotional eating so staying the same. Gives me no excuse to not have the time to do a yard sale this weekend, lol.
Grrrr, did you know that fat cells produce estrogen and that the more of them you have after menopause the higher your risk for breast cancer? Time for war on the suckers.

jablea -- sorry about your job! That really sucks. I liked that water bottle link you posted. It would be fun to come up with a design for the Shaping Up gang.
I didn't even check in last week and this week is nothing to write home about either. I've been sick -- stomach flu -- and hurt myself in aerobics class (hip flexor). I am on the mend now but the rest of the family has the stomach flu and a respiratory flu going through now.
As far as healthy eating goes, I admit I've mostly gone for convenience. The farm baskets have been black-eyed peas and okra, the consequence of the drought. Enough already. The heat finally broke this weekend so hoping more variety will be available soon. Meanwhile, here is a good way to make okra:
Preheat oven to 425. Wash okra and toss with olive oil. Put on lined cookie sheet and sprinkle with a liberal amount of seasoning salt. Roast for 15 minutes.
*not bad*

Sorry to hear about your job Jablea! Hope you can find something else quickly.
And sorry to hear you were sick Juniemoon! It's usually good for weight loss but sure not a nice way to lose it. Hard to believe the big differences in climate where you're having a drought and still hot temperatures, while we had the wettest September on record and I'm wearing my gloves when I go out for a walk!
I'm mad at myself because I gained another .4 lbs, so have gained 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks. It may be a natural up and down, but I know I've been eating too much bread and bagels and snacking too much, so have to really get back on track. Was so close to getting down to the last 10 lbs, so don't want to mess it up now. Obviously I'm really going to have to watch what I eat to maintain my weight once I reach my goal.
I did do real well with the walking, including one slightly longer walk. Four walks and then again out for a walk this morning after I weighted myself. Plus curling now twice a week, so some exercise there as well.
If someone wants to do something with the water bottle idea, I'm in! Hope everyone will have a good, healthy week!

.......tossing out chappy bait....... There you are. Good Puppy I had been merrily not doing much and then I smacked my head and yelled (silently of course) "Chappy!" It's like my panic when I can only find three of my four chickens. OMG did a cat get the other one? (yes I've had that happen, twice now) So whew, now that I've got food in your bowl (oh that reminds me I better go check water levels on the real things now that the ditch has dried up) anyway before I got distracted, I feel much better now. Thanks everyone for the well wishes on the job front. For some reason this time didn't bother me much. I think I'm getting used to it. I worked 13 years for the company, always part time, and I've had the rug jerked out numerous times with reorganize this and right size that. The last time I wound up almost being grateful for because it proved that I was not the reason this stupid 3 month project was taking a year, now that it's taken even another year.

Ugh!!!! I gained .6 lbs this week. I know what I did - no exercise! Lazy me!! Okay, back to work!! Have I mentioned that I do not like exercise? Unfortunately my aquarobics class was canceled X2 due to weather.

Wednesday - Check in Day
Does dinner at Tucano's all you can eat and death by chocolate cake count as a diet? Drat's I didn't think so either. I should have planned it for a day later, pfft. The rest of the week I wasn't doing too bad. Cabbage salad for lunch, leftover nutrisystem meals and some regular frozen grocery diet meals. My jaw is getting a workout chewing gum. Oh and I found some bread that is just so yummy. Sigh, I really need to get my home grown peppers and eggplant in my diet instead.

Finally getting back to exercising this week after being sick. This was the first week since I started on the farm baskets that I had to buy canned veggies. And I slacked off on my neck tractioning too... This weekend I am going to the coast -- yay! And next week when I get back, I hope to get back to my more regular plan of healthy fresh eating and plenty of exercise. It has finally cooled off here and I plan to start on a new schedule of walking and trying to make certain distances/times according to a plan I got from my old workplace called Texercise. In the summer, it's just too hot to strive for that sort of thing but now I can put it into action.

Well I'm certainly frustrated! Gained .4 lbs this week and I really don't think it's from eating too much because I've been pretty good this week. That's gaining weight instead of losing 3 weeks in a row now. I've been getting in 4 walks, 3 of about an hour long, 1 of about 45 minutes, and have started some exercises in between, but as I've only done that twice I can't imagine that I've already build up any muscle from that (and I know muscle weighs more than fat). So, yes, definitely frustrated and hard to keep to the plan with those kinds of results. It's really making me knuckle down to get to that 50 lbs mark and then the last 10 lbs to my goal.
Hope to have better news next week, because I'm not giving up after all the work I've done so far!
