Stunned in a good way or bad way?? Is all PR good?? Yes when more people see it,like I did, they will understand ,but nobody will talk about Adam and his critique then. DH and I walked out about ten minutes before Les Miserables ended. I was totally angry and upset for similar reasons that Adam mentioned. I actually kept saying to myself .. please, please don't sing to both Jackman and especially to Crowe. The press and the commenters are acting like Adam disparaged their religion.Geez It's just a movie. I see a great deal of" Adam shut up"BTW I wrote how I felt about the film on a blog and got viciously attacked by another woman .. She went on and on about who did I think I was etc. Prove that you have knowledge about Le Mis.. I finally said Hey It's a subjective opinion... It's a movie not LIFE.
I wish Adam's music would go viral...NO TRESPASSING words are very significant ,especially now."Shut up Adam and go away, who needs your opinion, you're nothing" That's what I've been seeing. Adam has proved his point with his song.
Birthday plans for Adam??
I am stunned in a good way. All PR is not good but overall this PR is good -- and it has shifted to Adam. Adam is being associated with vocal quality and supported by Russell Crowe who is not known for being politically correct, is a major star, is an actor but not a great singer. There is no way to plan this stuff -- he has a PR angel.
The press coverage has been very varied. Some supportive, some gossip columns and TV shows have false shock like they do for the whole show (most people see these things in context.) No real outrage.
The negative comments are being posted by people who will never be Adam fans with or without his opinion on the singing in Les Miz.
1. Anyone who really has seen this film and does not understand the question about the vocal recording/director's choice to film singing live, does not appreciate vocal quality enough to appreciate Adam AND is not very knowledgeable since filming the vocals live was a key part of the film promo. I understand and appreciate what Tom Hooper tried to do, but it did not work very well.
2. Many of the online comments are not about the creative choice Adam addressed, but about Adam and/or his right to make this comment. These are comments from people who will not ever be fans.
Adam is going to be Adam. He will never be loved and appreciated by everyone. No singer or celebrity is.
Adam is will served by people/fans who agree with his opinion. But Adam does not need a swarm of OTT fans defending him on blogs and articles. It just encourages a negative response from people who hate him OR like to bait Adam fans OR who love Les Miz and do not know Adam.
If you love musical theater and movie musicals, and actually see this movie, his comment makes sense. If you do not like operatic theater (the vast majority of people), then why would you even care?
Adam always gets thru these things, he says what he believes and stands by it. That is part of the reason I am a fan.

Trespassing will almost certainly not go viral. It has had ample opportunity and has not moved beyond Adam's fanbase.
Adam will tour and perform the music from Trespassing but he has already started to work on album #3 -- at least conceptually.

Adam's Birthday? I think we should do something more meaningful than purchasing Trespassing. If fans buy 3,000 copies Trespassing, it will not matter very much if at all. Raising $31,000 for Charity: Water might be a great way to celebrate.
