Thank you Talon we love your contribution. So far after the Asia Tour looks like Adam does not have anything even a short tour of major cities would be nice with Queen and give Adam more funds. I still would like to see Adam do a Trespassing Tour, maybe just a few select large cities around the country. I didn't get to see him last year when he was in Texas. Adam, please do a concert in New Orleans, I have friends that want to come and party with you there! I have not seen Adam perfom Trespassing either and would love to see him also doing songs from this album, I do love it. At this point I will take anything.

Then there's Adam who I honestly think is the lynchpin. I think if Adam wants to tour that Queen would be up for it and find the time most likely. What does Adam want? What does his record label want? I think Adam would like to tour with Queen again but I think he's afraid of being typecast in a way and losing himself. He has not had as successful a run with Trespassing as he would have wanted. I think he still wants to tour Trespassing but the longer it goes without a real tour the less likely that's going to be (imo). So Adam will have a choice to make. Does he rush back into the studio and try again? Or does he tour more with Queen and hope some more exposure will help his next album? That's where you guys come in. I can translate Brian/Roger and understand their game plan so to speak. And I know Queen's Record Label aren't nearly as much of a factor with them. I have no idea about Adam and his record label. Thank you for your wonderful explanation, Talon! Well, my two cents. IMO, Adam's record label wants him in the studio. And I think Adam wants to start his next album too, since he said he felt an urgency to release new music in one of the Divas interviews. Adam already said he's not touring. The Finnish date is the last one he's aware of, that's what he said the other night in his Twitter party. There won't be an official tour for Trespassing. I think your assessment about Adam's fear of losing himself and his solo career if he tours with Queen could be correct. I would feel that way if I was him. I'm sure he wants to tour with Queen, I'm sure he's open to it... But there's the danger that he will start being known as Queen's new frontman and lose his dream of a solo career and his individuality as an artist. We're not in his mind, but if I was in his position, that's how I would feel. I'm sure they WILL collaborate again. The mini-tour last summer wasn't the last we've seen of Queenbert. But I guess it will come when they feel that the time is right. That's just an opinion, though. I haven't been in this fandom that long, after all. So what do I know? What you think is what I think , Albiku

By the way, Talon. Adam was asked by a fan to put some rock in his new album, and Adam's answer was a wink. It could mean nothing at all, it could mean that he really is thinking about writing rock music. And, even if it's a long shot, it could also mean something linked to Queen. Who knows? :dunno:

I'm sure some Trespassing songs will show up on the next tour for album #3. The music industry is in such transition and Adam is at a transition point between albums. I think there is more of a chance he'll do a Rio concert, than anything else this year. (I have no info, just my own brain)
So, it's just Simon and Demi now on X-factor panel. I think reality singing competitions have peaked, but again, what do I know? If Adam is working on his new album, maybe that would be a nice paycheck and limit his international travel for awhile. Adam likes Demi, TPTB could work the Adam and Simon together again, meme, etc. Somehow, I don't see Adam going that route. MySpenser et al who are closer to the Hollywood scene might have a better feel for this.
Well, since I have nothing of substance to say, and since I already got my third star, I'm off to do a little freelance work.

About Adam and X Factor, would he really want to be a judge there? I mean, X Factor is perceived as the competitor for Idol, right? Would Adam, as an ex Idol contestant, join the competitor of the contest which launched his career or would he feel some sort of loyalty towards Idol?
:dunno:
ETA: Ljsmack, congrats on your third star!!! :D

I don't know why the Manila changes would have people here depressed, unless you are in Manila and this lowers your chances of getting a ticket. By a lot!! The venue wasn't changed because tickets weren't selling! Tickets weren't even for sale yet. It seems it is a total screw up on the part of the Phillipine's promoters. DMG and Adam always had the option to not accept this gig, if they thought it wasn't worth the $$! They are not going to accept something that is not worth it. Disappointed for Adam...surprised re the change again to such a small venue.....not depressed here! Not sure if we are speaking the same language here..but my thoughts... No point in cancelling out when the thought for the first change was a venue change for still in the for 10-16 thousand range. The second change...you are right Adam has a choice ...make 1500 fans happy and know the losses. Or, cancel out and try for another date...even at the end of the tour. Maybe he is okay with 1500 being happy. Can't imagine they would sell tickets without the approval of his management...but flaky things happen all the time. That's what I don't get. Why be disappointed for Adam? If he didn't want to do this show and if it wasn't making money for him, he just wouldn't do it! :-/

I WANT Adam to do a tour with Queen. I see the exposure as positive. Once you are on Adam's crazy train, you are all in. I think lots of folks would check out Adam's solo music after seeing him with Queen. And it would do much to shed the Idol manufactured star meme. Remember, most people don't know that he performed with Queen last summer because it was not in the States and was not widely reported on. I can envision a mini-tour of maybe a half dozen shows in the US, with maybe a live pay per view included. Hey, it could work!
Having said that, I am not sure ADAM is all that interested, as an artist. Just MHO. First off, "Been there, done that." He was flattered, humbled, honored, intimidated and challenged to the max. It was something he could never consider turning down. But it is not who HE is as an artist. It was basically a theater piece where he stepped into a role and made it his own. Challenge met and exceeded. Artistically, I am not sure what else he could achieve with repeat performances that he hasn't already done fabulously.
IF Adam were to agree to do it, I think it would be to enhance his visibility, his audience, and his credibility. Plus the $$ would be astounding. If Adam wants to grow and develop as his own, unique artist, tho', I can see him saying, "Thanks, but no thanks. It was an experience of a lifetime. I will always remember it with great affection. But, I am pursuing a different dream." He may not want to be famous for being the frontman for Queen any more than he wants to be famous for having been on AI four years ago. He may want to be famous as ADAM.
All just speculation on my part. I am still crossing my fingers that they all decide it would be a blast to do again, and expand upon to include a live broadcast and a concert DVD.
One other comment: While I understand that Adam probably wants to start work on album #3 quickly, Roger and Brian ain't getting any younger. If they all want to perform together, there is a finite window of opportunity, don't you think?

[/IMG]
:D Well to be honest, commercially that might be the best thing for him. If he is going to tour with Queen again, he's hitting a rock audience. If he had a more rock album to go with it, he might convert some of those fans. I mean to be honest, the typical Queen audience is not going to be that into the electronic pop of Trespassing. So maybe it's a concentrated effort! Now if Brian and Roger wanted to help Adam on a song or two - THAT could work for me

[/IMG] ETA: Ljsmack, congrats on your third star!!! :D
It is a FOX sow, on during a different season. It's competition now is The Voice. However, if Simon doesn't do something, XF is dead!! Last season was bad. The ratings were bad. Simon doesn't seem to "get" what is wrong with this show. He thinks it was the judges and the host. But it is totally the format! XF is not grabbing the US audience like the UK version does. Not sure I would want Adam to do XF unless there is a major over haul!

[/IMG] ETA: Ljsmack, congrats on your third star!!! :D
I would totally agree with you except..... Idol had their chance to have Adam judge, and they turned it down. That makes Adam a free agent, IMO. He has no obligation of loyalty or gratitude to turn down an offer from the competition if Idol turned him down first.
