[/IMG]
I agree. If a woman beater isn't hurt why would a scuffle hurt. The way Adam and Sauli handled it was perfect. and on that subject, A and S, why do I break into a silly smile whenever I see them together?

Call me clueless about what went wrong commercially with Trespassing. My best shot is that 2 poor singles killed it's chances. And, I guess, the fact that US promo was kind of underwhelming, and he didn't get to promo the album in a timely manner internationally (other than the UK). Basically, the label needs a better role-out for the third album. Giving it a fall release date would be good start. And (IMO only) going back to the Max Martin/Pink pop-rock style----which does NOT necessarily mean HAC since pop is embracing these songs more than ever. Or Jeff Bhasker. As I said a few days ago I would love it if he worked with Adam. But he might be one of those producers thatvis simply "out of reach" at this point in time. Anyway, I have NO doubt Adam is with a major---sounds like RCA. And a third album is happening . It is going to be a good year for Adam. BTIKM PRobably wasn't the best single, but NCOE is good. There was not reason this song couldn't have been a hit. I'm not thrilled with RCA I think this was tossed out before, Ellie Goulding songs were basically off the radar and her management did something because her song was put back into rotation, I think, Z100 started to spin it. HOW THEY HELL DID HER tEAM pull this off????? payola??? Then why the heck didn't RCA push the heck for NCOE??? the promo for TP was horrendous. I hAVE NO FAITH w RCA. I so love your post! Even with BTIKM, there was basically nothing wrong with that single. Take a look at the top 40 chart and you see slower songs charting all the time. That Ed Sheeran released one of those and radio is all over it. I still feel radio just has something personal against Adam. They refused to even play the Bruno song despite the fact that it fit the sound that was all over radio at that time. I just feel sad anytime I remember how Adam toiled all summer long doing promo for radio stations and some of them ridiculing him in the process (@thebillyontheradio cray that was making fun of him and what happened in Finland plus that one that got the OOFTA tatoo reveal from Adam) and yet they refused to support any of his songs. Grrrrrrr!

Jo, I don't think Trespassing is a gay anthem at all. Outlaws of Love is a gay anthem, but the whole album? Not at all. The title song, Trespassing, for instance. I don't think it's about trespassing into the heterosexual world. I think it's about a weird artist trespassing into the mainstream music bizz. I get what she meant and I also don't agree the album's a gay athem. for the other part though she kind of makes sense. The mainstream music biz is run by fat old men that control the dial on these radio stations. For a gay man to say he's trespassing there could be seen as being confrontational and a political statement to them. I actually support this could have been a factor.

Jo I like your post because I think some of your input might have been a reason for the 'resistence' of PD's . Especially when I hear obscure music of obscure artists who have songs put into rotation and do not have the fanbase of Adam;s. and the song sucks.. This just puzzle's me nor popularity of Adam. It still makes me wonder how radio could ignore a billboard no. 1 album? I believe there is more to it than what they presented was the reason.

What an interesting "Adam"-day! :D But what else do we expect From the first moment I heard "Running", I wished it could made into a music video. I was blown away by Adam's lower register and the energy, power and emotion of the song. In South Africa we love our music videos, even a recording of a song at a concert is great. We had the privilege of having Adam and his fabulous band visiting us in November/December and he got so many new fans after his visit. Since then I've heard some of the Trespassing album's songs but also FYE. Unfortunately the radio stations tend to get stuck on only a a few specific songs, forgetting that there's more fabulous songs. I'm very excited about the new album, it just feels right to me. I know Adam is much more knowledgeable now and know what he wants. I think we are in for an exciting time. Jo, I read your post with interest and in certain instances I understand, but me not being an American (I haven't even been to the USA) I'm sure I don't know the inside politics. I'm following the marriage equality status in the USA closely because it's a cause close to my heart as I have many gay friends, some of them (both males and females) who are legally married (our country's constitution is very clear that no discrimination will be tolerated against any sexual orientation, skin colour (race), religion, etc). We do have people who are against same sex marriages but they don't really have the power as the constitution has the last say.

That is a fact I guess we all are aware of, but there's really nothing much we can do about it. We can just hope that Adam gets so much successs (internationally and other ways) that they just have to begin to give him radio time.
