I think it did. This is because there was so much buzz surrounding the single release then and even some of the top 40 stations were buzzing about it. That was a popular LA HAC station that had announced Adam released a new single they would spin at so and so, and then they all chickened out. I just noticed a lot of those Clear Channel stations chickened out right after that incident. It was my observation and I'm not claiming to be in the know. Well, if the stations chickened out, it wasn't because of Finland. I'm pretty sure about that. What happened in Finland wasn't a big deal at all, and both Adam and Sauli handled it incredibly well. Other artists have done way worse things, and radio still plays them. Not a big deal to fans, but a big deal to the straight conservative radio pds that were looking for a perfect reason not to expose the 'evil gay' that might turn their kids gay. Anyway the sequence of these occurences were very telling and all they were interested for weeks after that was 'the finland incident'. If you read one of my posts, I did mention that one radio dj - @billyontheradio was demonstrating how he felt the event went in finland, embarrazing and practically making fun of Adam. I remember his first promo visit for the single in the US then at ryransecreast station was also about that and how he had so old fans. That shows although, it might not have meant anything to you, it did mean something to some of those fat radio pds/djs.

There's an article on popcrush about Adam leaving 19 - but with a mighty typo in it: He’s not signed to RCA Records and to Direct Management Group, which also names Lambert’s pal Katy Perry as a client. 19 Records is still home to many ‘American Idol‘ alumni, including current champ Phillip Phillips. They wrote NOT instead of NOW *sigh* : :( popcrush.com/adam-lambert-leaves-record-label/Let's see how long it takes them to correct.

I am finding the conversation today fascinating. I really love to hear all sides and I think xixioge makes some good points, most of which we have discussed here in the past. It's smart and good for the blood pressure to concentrate on the positive things that are happening right now but the concerns expressed by her (him?) are still in the back of our minds. Mine anyway. What is RCA going to do differently this time around? Because I do not think his music had much to do with the radio problem. I'm convinced there was/is something going on behind the scenes. Something that RCA has to address this time around. Anyway xixioge there is a thread for worry & angst here: www.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=895&page=42 . I've posted there myself from time to time. It's been inactive for awhile but it's still available.

My husband thinks Tresspassing was a great Album every song on it is good. The world of music is a funny thing. I play it all the time. I try not to enter into too much degativity so even though his singles didn't get airplay I try to look on the positive. There has been many artist that haven't had airplay but, they are huge. As my man says sometimes great things take time.
