I agree that Adam needs to get new music out and that precludes a tour in the US, but if he wanted to tour, there are promoters who are ready to bank that tour. Regarding touring -- there are many examples of huge successful touring acts that had little to no airplay. Phish, #11 of 2012: Dave Mathews, one of the top Summer 2012 tours - Radiohead, #18 of 2012: Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Then there are cult acts like Flaming Lips that fill mid-sized venues night after night. But Dave Matthews and Radiohead are practically industry icons---neither would have to sell another record; their legacies are made. They are beyond worrying about airplay and trying to expand their fanbases. Adam is at a completely different place in his career. And, yes, he could tour at some capacity, but the question for his team is whether or not a tour makes sense right now. Sometimes I think people forget just how successful FYE was. Forget Platinum, that album stayed on the BB 200 for a year. Amazing. My point was that they built their fame on great music and albums, not radio.

An old article about Allan Louis mentioning Adam. www.broadway.com/buzz/157254/allan-louis-on-designing-shoulder-pads-for-adam-lambert-and-romancing-beth-leavel-in-baby-its-you/Allan Louis on Designing Shoulder Pads for Adam Lambert and Romancing Beth Leavel in Baby It's You!INTERVIEWS By Kathy Henderson August 4, 2011 Idol Friendship: When he wasn’t talking tough onscreen, Louis played a glam-tastic rocker dubbed MzA Superstar in the underground L.A. club hit The Zodiac Show alongside eventual American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. “Adam was a musical theater kid I’d met in The Ten Commandments,” Louis recalls of a D.O.A. musical starring Val Kilmer (!). “The Zodiac Show offered us pure freedom of expression to create visual performance art.” (To see the pair in action, click here.) When Lambert made it to the Idol finale, his pal was in the audience. “He was onstage with KISS wearing rhinestone shoulder pads that I had built,” Louis says with a laugh. “It was wild.”

Inside that article: Uhm... Wow... You know what's worse? It's totally true. I've seen it on Twitter, since I follow a few Gaga fans to keep up with her news. :-[

I'm going back to DonorsChoose.org So many classes need musical instruments - the basic 'recorders' - and sheet music, stands . . . basic stuff. Without music in my life, in those middle school and high school years, I would have been without direction or hope. So, this is where my donation for Adam's 31st birthday will go. It will not only honor Adam; it will remind me of the lifeline the music room became to me, when I wondered if all was lost. We can be in the everywhere. Those of us who donate, anywhere, might leave a footnote about Adam, and then maybe tweet him about what we are doing. Many messages from many of us; telling him of the inspiration, the awakening, the desire to pass our good fortune forward. Maybe he will receive 31,000 messages about our commitment to making the world a better place - each of us, in our own way. If we can't donate money, we can always pass forward a good thought; an inspirational note to someone in need. Giving is so easy. I wish I had begun sooner. It feels so good! Thanks for reminding me. Just adopted a school. I need to set up a birthday page for Adam!!

And I agree, giving lives in many forms. Adam doesn't even have to know one is wishing him a Happy Birthday..send him love from your heart. Lots of mileage, love.

Thanks to Momtomany who inspired me. I have chosen her ATop AVI to grace this page. I just created a Giving Page at DonorsChoose.org to celebrate Adam's 31st birthday and to help support low-income classrooms on DonorsChoose.org. And I'm inviting you to help support it! Do not worry if you cannot afford to give money, because this will be a community gift. DonorsChoose.org is an online charity connecting individuals, like you, to classrooms in need. The average public school teacher spends $500 - $700 on classroom supplies out of his/her own pocket, and students still go without critical supplies they need to learn. So this website is great, because teachers can post requests, like books, microscopes, art supplies, even field trips to the zoo, and you can help fund them. You can visit this Giving Page, www.donorschoose.org/taf-gp/276504 , to make a donation. Thanks in advance for your support! I'll post more about it in the morning.

That comma right after the link screws it up. If you click on the link in your post you get a big error. I had to c/p the link without that comma on the end in order to get the page to come up.
