I threw the helium effect out there last night and then went to sleep. I know from previous discussions that I am not the only one that occasionally hears it and I wanted albiku to know, so thanks to all that responded. And like everyone said, it doesn't happen all the time, I just need to go to more concerts to determine the perfect place to be in the venue. I love research. ;D I also have tinnitus so that may have something to do with it as well. I now wear these at all concerts for all artists and they really help without blocking the subtleties of sound.

I heard the helium sound and so did my husband (who is in broadcast radio and works with "sound"). He said it was the sound system -- the way Adam's voice was being amplified. I heard it when I was upfront at Louisville and just a little sometimes in the middle floor at Evansville. Not on all the songs. Chipmonk may be a better discription. It seemed to get adjusted as the song went on so that is why I tend to lean towards the sound engineer and/or the in-house sound system.
