Today is final Check-in Day for Grammy weight loss and shape up participants. I've gone ahead and created this post so that we can continue on our journey. I'm not sure what will be brought over from the other board. Adam's DVD release is on a Tuesday March 22nd which gives us another 5 week window which I think is a pretty good time frame.

I forgot to weigh this morning but yesterday afternoon I was down for a total of -4. Yeah! Not as much as some of you and oh my I still have more to go but yes, finally on a downward trend. Thanks so much to everyone for your support, encouragement, bringing the humor, and just being here.

Well I made it to -9.5 lbs, half a pound short of my goal, but with all of my travelling, the holidays and a family crisis, I am very pleased with this.
Spring will be here soon and my walking can start again on better roads and Adam will keep us smiling all summer long.
Thanks everyone for all the great ideas. Today is such a happy smiley day.
:D :D :D

durberville - this week -1, progress -6
Okay, so I didn't reach my ten pound goal BUT I feel great! I'm going to continue my quest to lose about 15-20 more.
Thanks for continuing this thread Jablea, it has really helped me stay on track. :D

I'm very happy to say I've made my goal of 10 lbs by the Grammys, along with getting 1/2 hr exercise each day. It's working! So...why not try for a few more? Somehow it's easier when you all (and Adam) are involved

Well, I did not do so well. Back on track but still have some swelling. Lost total -1. I'm not giving up! I was thinking maybe we should make a separate thread for Shape-up Recipes and bring them over from old site. What do you think? They were good. Hehe! So glad to have spellcheck back! :

This thread has been such a help to me in staying on track and I'm glad we're continuing to the DVD release. I'm down 16 pounds and am determined to continue towards my ultimate goal because this loss puts me about where I was for the GNT. Grats to everyone who has done so well!

So glad to have spellcheck back! : stardust, I think bringing over recipies and having someone go thru and organize a bit as you're doing it would be great. I've been looking for online cookbooks we could collaborate on too but can't find much. I'm about ready to program one in asp. : ps. thanks for the dm thru ALF. I'd tiptoed over here already but hadn't decided what to do. For everyone, I'm thinking that since the DVD release is on Tuesday that we could move our weigh-in to that day of the week too. It would give us Monday and Tuesday to recruit new joiners and Melisende's had such great results with her mid-week weigh-in maybe it can get us away from Fri and Sat nights out. Watcha all think?

Hi guys, I'm really glad we are continuing on, as I've been pretty lazy about exercising lately. But my eating habits have greatly improved since starting this and are becoming ingrained. My husband purchased a VitaMix blender last week and I have really been enjoying the smoothies (after recovering from the sticker shock!). Hubby says that he has had much more energy and his appetite is more controlled because of the morning smoothie. This morning's concoction: banana, kiwi, blueberry, grapes, apple, clementine, kale, and wheat germ. The color leaves a little to be desired but it is really tasty and filling. www.vitamix.com/index.asp
