That's cool the WI day is now Tuesday, as it's much closer to my Weight Watchers WI day which is Thursday. There were a couple of days I wasn't counting points - including for my Grammy dinner - but I guess those calories must have been used up by the crazy anxiety I went through before Adams award was announced.
Today I was down 4 pounds bringing my total loss since the first week of January to 20 pounds (with about 80 to go).
These next two weeks are going to be a real test. I was told to take two weeks sick leave and finally deal with the chronic bronchitis I've had since mid-August. That means another course of penicillin and total rest. The problem is I don't really rest when I'm at home, and when an offer came down the pike from Celebrity Summit to fly me to Puerto Rico tomorrow night for a 2 week Southern and Eastern Caribbean cruise because they desperately need an Enrichment speaker, I said OK. I know it's like putting an alcoholic in front of an open bar for 2 weeks but I'm going to do my very best to not fall right off the wagon. Low carbs and small tastes of everything will be my motto. Plus daily exercise.
Have a lot of stuff to get ready right now, including going over all my PowerPoint presentations and transferring them to the laptop but I think I will get more rest once I'm on the ship. I'll be checking in when I can get to a WiFi café.

...roasted asparagus was great!
Melisande....20 lbs! Way to go girl!! Enjoy your cruise - take advantage of the exercise equipment on board - but most importantly, get some rest - the salt air should be good for your chronic bronchitis, no?
Good Luck! (lucky girl - a two week cruise *sighs*)

Okay...rescued a few recipes from the old forum:
RabbitRabbit's veggie chili (It's great - I've made it a couple of times!)
want to try angelkrash's recipe too:
..and I still haven't made sugaree's cucumber salad, but I will!:
There are other recipes over there, but it's kinda mind boggling going through the thread.

duberville, I love the idea of putting recipes in a quote box that really makes them stand out. So let's encourage everyone to either put [ quote] tags up or font colors.
Melisende, have fun on the cruise. I'd say always take the stairs but I'm not sure how that goes with resting to get your bronchitus cured.
RL's been kicking me late at night when I used to post the daily topic so maybe for this round I'll just post topics any time of the day or night as they come to me. If anyone's been thinking "I'd love to do the topics" let me know.
With that in mind.....
Topic: How long should your Valentine's candy last?
I'm trying to make mine last for a week. Yeah when you eat half of it the first two days it kind of makes it hard. So is Valentines a love/hate relationship for you?

Topic: Flavored Water
By the end of our Grammy shape up program I was having a really hard time getting water down. I'm still in that stage so I've been trying some flavors to help. Kind of a mixed bag of results.
What I'm trying right now is Airborne - on the go packets. They don't say how much water to mix them with so I've just been putting one in my 3 cups water bottle. Then I feel like I'm not only getting my water but some vitamins too. But I do think this method is a bit pricey>

Okay, you guys are inspiring me to do a bit of gardening this year. Will try to put in a few tomatoes and peppers, some herbs, maybe some zucchini. Yikes!

Good Morning! Thanks Jablea, your Banana Bread recipe looks good. I've seen recipes for chocolate cake with zuccini, too.

Your recipe sounds good jablea....I'm not much of a baker, but I can see how it would be better for you than regular banana bread which is loaded with fat and sugar. (yummy though ) I've been exercising like mad this week (new treadmill), plus I just spent another hour shoveling snow (this winter has been ridiculous).... don't see much happening on the scale however - unless it miraculously falls off TONIGHT!! Haha!
