I just gotta flail some more for Nile, Sam, and Adam all being together on the same stage performing "Shady"!!! So excited! A wish come true! Will be the most amazing night!! And I'm excited to see what other songs Adam will perform during the evening (Nile tweeted someone last night that he was "doing music arrangements for @adamlambert" so I'm hoping for several songs, especially since they're billing it as a "concert featuring Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers & Chic"), and to see him get the well-deserved award, too. My fantasy is that somehow this performance would lead to the song becoming a single in the U.K. They could use footage from the foundation gala to promote it. Nile is very respected there. When Adam first began doing interviews for Trespassing, I noticed that reporters in the U.K., and in Canada and Australia, got excited and were impressed at the mention of Nile's name. And Nile would practically be a one-man promo machine himself. And Sam has had success in the U.K., so his name would be known to some listeners. I know Adam is moving on to the next album, but they could consider releasing the song as setting up his success in the U.K. for the next era. Just do a concerted, targeted push and pour funds into getting it on Radio 1. A focused expenditure. They wouldn't have to try to make it a hit on U.S. radio. If interest carried over here, great, but it would be about getting noticed in the U.K, and maybe other parts of the world. Adam could add on a concert in the U.K. to his tour at the end of March (and TV appearances). And it'd be good to have some song out when he's doing his one-offs or festivals in Europe or elsewhere this summer (maybe Adam will be able to do Montreux with Nile this time!) while testing out/debuting material from the new album. It seems like songs have a much shorter life, and rise or fall much quicker on the charts in the U.K., about three months and then done, not the four to six months or longer it can take to climb the charts in the States. So releasing a song there now wouldn't affect the release of the next album. And if "Shady" catches on there'd still be time to release one more song at the end of May. "Cuckoo" or "Naked Love" or "Pop That Lock" would all be perfect for summer. It just pains me so much that all of these amazing songs on Trespassing have not been heard! And then the lead song from Adam's new album could be released with established momentum in the U.K. in November, a month or so after the song's been released in the U.S.

Unless you learn more about Adam, you don't realize that he really is all these things wrapped up in one artist, or should I say, one person. That's certainly not what we are used to in music today. So instead of giving it a firm look too many people smirk and cast him aside. Too good to recognize. Too good to be true. Adam is the ultimate entertainer. He has the voice, charisma, intelligence and looks but that is why he is also polarizing. Yes, as you say kay some will just take one look and dismiss him. However there is another group who think that it's not fair that one person could be so gifted so they go out of their way to look for and celebrate every little flaw.
