Pink is sooooooooooo not his color 8-) Ya think? I don't know... It doesn't stop me from wanting to grab those lips with mine. They look edible. Like pink meringue. Yum:) Ok, is this conversation going to be x-rated or something? Because I need to prepare myself for it with two or three shots of vodka LOL

Leave it to Adam to lighten the mood!!! LOL Of course! He is known to be the best angst killer among Glamberts and major butt-hurt eliminator. Bottom line: he's a top. Like, the champ.

As for the lyric content, I never understood what "Tower of Babel falling down again" meant.....that reference was completely lost on me so I guess I can see where someone else might think the lyric is superficial if they didn't get what he was referring to. Really? IMHO this is so easy to decode especially in song like "Broken English" which is about problems in communication between people. Seriously you must know story about Tower of Babel? why must I know the story of the Tower of Babel? When you said this I did a Google search because I thought I must be missing something and honestly I'm more than a little offended that you assume that everyone should automatically know a story from the bible. I've never read the bible, so why should I be expected to know this story? Tell me, am I also expected to know the stories in the Quran or Tanakh?

I also agree that Adam is hugely successful and loved around the world. For the US to be so behind in its acceptance of gays is just tragic! We no longer lead the world in equal rights for all. Maybe we never really did! We just tell the rest of the world we do. I believe Adam will gain fans here as time goes on, you can't deny talent. As someone said up thread he will need a hit song from his next album. TV is where I want to see him. He would just shine in a music show of his own. I hope I get to see it because I haven't been to successful in getting to any of his shows, they've just been too far away, except for Glam Nation in Milwaukee and the AI tour in Madison. TV would be great for him, but are there any music shows on? (Not competition ones.) I guess there is Glee, some country music show, and the broadway one. There aren't any "variety" shows anymore, are there? In a fairly recent interview (can't remember which) he said something that sounded like he was way more open to, or maybe planning, things on tv and even musical theater, which he has always had on the back burner.

Really good grounded perspective that I totally agree with. Re Adam and Grammy nominations. Of course His fans think he was overlooked and deserved a nom - we are his fans. Doesn't mean he was. There are plenty of unsung (pardon the pun) artists out there who do amazing stellar laudable work every year, who toil in bars and clubs. Who make independent albums released on shoestring. Adam is hobnobbing and admired by industry greats, he had a #1 album, he is receiving awards and accolades for his work in human rights, he is travelling around the world singing to devoted audiences... But no that's not enough. I believe Adam was speaking from his heart when he admonished a few years ago that "entitlement isn't sexy" he wants to make music and sing which he is getting ton do in spades - the rest is gravy. Because we are sharing today about artists and their acceptance or lack thereof perceived by whoever the powers might be, I'd like to show a vid of one of these artists who is trying to break through making independent CD's and videos. This is a young woman I know. Remember Adam saying that without Idol as a launching pad, he doubted he would have EVER been signed (no matter how great the talent). I'd like to post this vid with your permission to laud all those who have the courage to pursue their dreams. We think Adam should have this or that...he has made EVERYTHING out of his big break and we'll see more and more great things happening for him. We are fans but he is the creator.

I know the story of Babel is in the Bible and I know think it's about speaking in tongues, but nothing more. I'd have to look it up too.

I'm sorry, I didn't want to offend you - just this is so well known story and I didn't know about it from Bible, but from lessons about poetry. No problem, I will shut up myslelf from now.
