I believe that "do unto others ....." means that since I would like to be treated with kindness and respect and afforded my dignity, then I must also treat others in that same manner.
It is a Biblical principle, but it is a universal principle of humanity as well, IMO.
I don't know what Adam would call it, but I believe he uses those same working principles in his life. I think he is a genuinely kind, respectful, generous person and I admire that in him.

I didn't watch the game (wut, you thought I'd miss 'Downton Abbey'?), but I just read my baby sister's comment on facebook. "They call that family entertainment! She only needed a pole." haha And all her friends were adding comments to agree.
My family is obviously very conservative. Guess I'll have to go check for myself now. This convo has made me curious.
