The discussion of A & S's relationship status the past several days, and my concern about it, reminded me of an article I read with a unique philosophy: how to show your love by not caring as much. I googled to find the article and reread it for my own growth and peace of mind. If you are interested, here's the link.I read this article, "How To Love More By Caring Less" a while ago, when it was posted by Hoopla ( I think) and I found it very interesting, especially from a viewpoint of a self-confessed doting ( [coughs] aka overbearing, hovering) mother. I tried to let loose a little and got an instant guilt trip of not caring enough. I was not surprised: my brain works in weird ways, all of them invariably leading to a dead end street called 'It's my fault'. Luckily, my kids turned out great - I must have been doing somethin.............. ....and more..... I love this  |

Hey, Alex!!! Couldn't be prouder to share a drawer with you!!! Loved your words, especially the part about being proud of people for standing up for themselves and emotions they knew were justified. Absolutely! Also, I was really surprised last night how reading that other people were feeling like me was physically soothing just like you said. Being human together. Standing together in adversity. Big hugs, bb! |

Lovely post, Alexandrakz. Yesterday was very confusing for a lot of us because it gets hard to justify feeling so bad about someone you don’t know, yet those feelings were real for a lot of us. I’m so glad we got the Instagram last night because I have way too much to do today and I couldn’t bear to spend another day worrying about them.
At one point I found myself thinking why doesn’t he tweet something? He must have known about the angst that was exploding across fan boards everywhere. And then it occurred to me that was his way of saying (without saying) “I will not give any credibilty to this discussion because it doesn’t deserve it - this is my life and I do not owe anyone an explanation.” So he waited until Valentine’s Day because that’s the kind of thing he would tweet whether there were rumors or not. He controlled the news cycle, not the other way around. So good for him and his lovely Fin - I’m going to slowly back away from this because frankly, I don’t remember feeling this upset about my own divorce! (Also really grateful that our angsting didn't get picked up by PH)
