Look at what he did -- Defended Gaga -- unpopular today when everyone is making egg jokes and ripping her for stealing Madonna's music. Diverted Bieber fans from the anti Esperanza campaign. Right said that Gweneth had no right to be on that stage singing. And complemented a number of people. Then closed it out with his comment about messing up his performance at the AMAs. So basically saying that shit happens. My first thought was "Damn, he's smart" but the more I think about it I think it's more a reflection of his emotional intelligence. For example, he straddled a fine line with the Gaga thing, because he's always been very public about his feelings for both Madonna and Gaga. His comment doesn't minimize that the music strongly borrows from Madonna's repertoire and yet he doesn't pile on to another artist he respects. And he finished by beating everyone else to the punch about his own award show history. I really love his brain. Um....I just think he's into his second glass of vodka. My thought was that he started tweeting, realized he was being slightly more than borderline catty, then backpedaled w/ a depreciating remark. Methinks he probably shouldn't have been tweeting at all. However, your opinions may vary. [shrug] |

Hoopla, Saw your earlier post and your intentions to cut back here. I don't know anyone who can really go cold turkey, but since you're here now I want to say I really enjoy your posts - especially your little summaries and comments re various other posts. Great insight - and kindness, too. Wishing you good luck in whatever it is you need to do, but I think you know you are special here and I hope you can squeeze us in... Wow, thank you evergreen. I focused on RL until dinner time, then got on twitter and saw some things I wanted to post and thought--WAIT--I can't do that--cause I don't know what's already been posted! I wanted to go cold turkey, but I couldn't.  I will just have to lurk a bit and not post unless I've read the thread. And maybe allow myself end-of-day joining in wherever convo is, or weekends, or something. I'm starting to sound like Charlie Sheen. Sweet Jeebus, I think maybe I really DO need that rehab center we joke about. Which reminds me, who else am I going to ask if they've heard about that new book (Addict Nation? I can't remember the exact name)--about fan addictions? Shit, I'm going to read a book about fan addiction?! I think I'd rather just spend the time here! Anyhow, I'll figure it out! Thanks for the "good luck"...I'll need it!  |

Lady Gaga is an artist. Some will love her work , others will even despise it. She does not need to apologize. And I am glad that Adam is defending her. And he remains a gentleman and a diplomat. I respect him more for that. Personally, I loved Gaga because of her music. Her recent ones, Alejandro and this current controversy... makes me feel like she is running out of ideas... and she has to borrow from someone's closet ... which unfortunately looks too much like Madonna's. I am starting to tire of her antics, because the music is not fun anymore. The beat has turned ordinary for me. So the hoopla falls flat. Well, since we are talking about Gaga, because Adam was, something interesting happened to me last night. My son came over late last night and I was talking about the song with him, and apparently the guy who wrote on the song with Gaga is a Swedish singer named Jeppe that my son featured on his first single, and my son knows him fairly well. I played him the Cheeks video. The guy may not be original, but my son was saying he will now be rich. I guess he also worked with her on a couple of other tracks. I am interested to see what the rest of the CD is like. Your son's right... all this talk will just favor Gaga and her album sales.... she has, what ? more than 6million followers on twitter ? a lot of her fans may have been reminded of Madonna only via Glee... so this wont be a great deal to them... |

Joan is not funny. Joan is not attractive. Joan is just a douche. and I think Joan is pissed because Adam is prettier than her and her ugly troll of a daughter. I get sick of the "adam is a woman" meme. When the gay man in the room is more masculine than all the heterosexual men in the room then the woman comments just sound stupid. As someone who grew up watching Joan Rivers may I say that to me that was Joan Liking Adam. The tone was not cutting and catty she was being satirical. I think she really did like the look and that was sheer good fun humor. When she has trashed him in the past her tone was much more cutting. To me it is an obvious difference but to those who may not hear her often it is probably harder to tell the difference. |

When I look it says he tweeted 5 hours ago and where I am that would've been 8 p.m.... if he's 3 hours behind me in LA that would've been 5 in the afternoon. I'd hate to think Adam is already drunk at 5 p.m. :( |

Oh sweet bejeez - that Moviestar mag is a WIN...[grins] and while it has Adam on one "front cover", ANGELINA is on the other "front cover". Ergo - my hubby will probably be totally ok with its purchase! (Tho' I'll probably have to fight him for it! He LURVES Angelina! :D ) ETA: Hey wonderstruck - there's a reason for the saying "Its 5 o'clock somewhere! Tis HAPPY HOUR!!  ETA2: Oooh. Hey little fella! [pets Mika's skunk]. I've been told they're really very friendly...as long as you don't startle them!! ;D[pets soft stripy fur some more, passes skunk a lettuce lolly] |
