What am I, chopped liver? Btw, leena, I told hubby about your extra 2 tickets, just to gauge his reaction, well, this is how it went down: "Finland? hmmm... when? March?? no, thanks! tell your boy to do it in July! oh, when is he gonna sing with Queen again?" ooooh... Will hubby crack open his wallet for a future Queenbert concert?? In the summer? In the U.S.A.? Oh, in my house, I'm the one that is more economic conscientious, my hubby, on the other hand, is all like this, "it's only money, dear!" And, he's a big Queen fan so if there's a future Queenbert concert anywhere in the US, we're there, kids included! (apparently, Aleks can't make good on her promise. )

Actually, P!NK's vocals ARE stellar while hanging upside down. Glitter in the Air is the perfect example. ( I won't post that but it is the famous Grammy performance.) The purpose of the aerial video I posted was not vocals, it was spectacle and fun for the audience. I would bet that Adam could probably sing great upside down too.

The one thing that bugs me about all the news coverage of Adam singing STAY is that it took a song (just released by a major pop star) to get the presses rolling. What? Is everyone suprised that Adam can sing?? I don't understand what is newsy about him covering this song....I'm glad he's in the press but I just don't get it. My 2 cents: Adam's own songs are adamazing as they come, so it is not possible to realize how good he is by comparing his voice to something else. Plus nobody knows most of his songs (thanks, radio!), so posting about how good Chokehold or BE was live would be pointless. When he covers a song everybody knows (thanks again, radio!), people suddenly realize he sounds better than the original artist, especially live. Which for anyone who is not an AFL stan is probably a shock. For some reason, people like Rihanna (her music is banned in our house because my wife hates only two sounds - the scratching of a fork on the inside a metal pot, and Rihanna's voice), so it must be strange hearing Stay sung right. Art is subjective though, and I am one year older than I was yesterday, so I am probably just grumpy. Also, last night I had a nightmare in which I hated Bieber, and when I woke up I realized it wasn't just a dream. I absolutely agree with you that when he sings his own songs, there are many, many people who don't realize the artistry and skill that is required to perform them. Seriously, very few artists in their right mind would attempt some of them live ... so there is nothing to compare to. So when he covers another more recognizable song the result is some jaw-dropping, wow that guy can really sing reactions. This is all good and the word continues to spread. As a sort of off-topic side note, this little article about Bieber might shed some cosmic light on your bad dream. It's pretty amusing and even a little scary, but I like the last line, "So grow up, Biebs."www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/02/13/justin-bieber-freaks-out-over-grammys-feuds-with-the-black-keys.html
