I am hoping and praying that Adam makes it big in China. Maybe then will the US start paying attention to him. Crossing fingers.  Actually, Adam has already become a household name in China but, I don't think his fame & popularity in China has any bearing or influence on how the US market reacts to his music or his image, unfortunately. I think Adam will get to enjoy a potentially great financial success for years to come in China, and his high-profile endeavors will surely be reported in the news but in terms of music sales and influence, the top 5 is all that matters: USA, Japan, UK, Germany and France. Adam needs a hit, or two! Let's hope everything comes together this time around. Fingers crossed. |

I guess ,It's all about the SONG and marketing.. Having the best voice in POP just doesn't seem to be enough.
I have to say I love Adam's music on Trespassing.. I could see five hits.. so what happened.. no real roll out..?Also it ,IMHO became known as a gay album.. Someday I believe Trespassing will be historic,just not yet.
As much as I can't help getting frustrated over lack of super stardom for Adam ,here in the states,It's a bit unfair to compare him to JT. Adam is really just getting started .. what is it 4/5 years since IDOL?
Justin is a movie star, as well as a singer. His exposure since childhood is remarkable..Many grew up with him and followed him from Disney,to boy band to movie star.To top that off,Justin hasn't made an album in years and people thought he might be done with singing. So big welcome back,he's a very popular guy. The roll out for his new album was really GREAT.. he was everywhere.. almost like the second coming.
Of course I want this for Adam sooo much that I sometimes stay up nights worrying..really not at all productive..LOL

The only reason that P2 will be rocking in Rio is John Mayer...he is the opening act for Mayer's upcoming tour. But, that's just it --- the luck! P2 (a modest talent) is probably the luckiest AI contestant, evah!

The only reason that P2 will be rocking in Rio is John Mayer...he is the opening act for Mayer's upcoming tour. But, that's just it --- the luck! P2 (a modest talent) is probably the luckiest AI contestant, evah!
melliemom, it's only 4 years since the beginning of Adam's Idol run. Nov. of this year will be 4 years since his first album and single were released. You're right .. I so worry about Adam's career ,my DH says I need more sleep.Adam's not getting enough exposure here in the U.S. Needs more TV/radio,etc. Hoping that he becomes a long lasting super star here.Maybe then I will get a good night's rest ,either that or I will have expired. My feeling about P2 is that he is the luckiest ,but he doesn't seem driven .IMHO, He doesn't seem well and he confessed to being a bit unstrung on the recent Idol gig.Maybe he will become more secure . |

Here's an interesting note, not sure if you all are aware, but Carly Rae was on Candian Idol over 4 years ago. So sometimes it just takes time and the perfect song!

Remarkable that being on Idol never hurt her credentials in any way..Justin Beiber discovered her song and told Scooter ,his manager. That guy is some manager, I want him for Adam. I think Adam has it over her in terms of being an International star.. although her hit was worldwide crazy popular. I have to say Call me maybe is a favorite of mine too..so much fun.. Carley Rae now is also endorsing products on TV....Why not Adam...? sigh |

JT is an int'l superstar, Carly Rae had a very very popular song last year but she is no where near super stardom, let alone worldwide....it takes more than a catchy song.  |

I was so jealous ,for Adam, over all the Hoopla over JT.I guess It's me talking me down..LOL. I just hope Adam is appreciated and gains the popularity he so deserves. I think of the male on male kiss at the AMAs by Adam and now men kissing men on covers of magazines,Time this week,TV, etc. I really believe Adam has helped gay rights in so many ways, by being so honest ,so up front and courageous. It's a new day in America and Adam is so much more than a glorious singer... |
