Surely there will be more reports, and more importantly, more videos to enjoy tomorrow. Gotta get some sleep - but do have fun and carry on!

Personally I think Adam has a great of success on this Asian tour. I remember a tweet being posted that JLo also toured and had barely 50% attendance numbers. Have to agree that the prices for tickets in Singapore were high, as well as Indonesia. The economy is sucking all over the world. Right now mainland China is bailing out Hong Kong. Hong Kong used to be the hub of success and money. Also I think the day of the week the concert is on has a great deal to do with attendance.

Another thing, the attendance estimates that I have seen are for Singapore show - not Jakarta. The one above talking about 1000 people is the only one from Jakarta - we still need to hear another estimate. I can't find any report of there being 1000 people at the Jakarta -- I just chatted with someone who worked at the event and he tells me that there were over 3,000 people there. >> Not doubting someone might have reported there was 1000 people there, just I have not read that comment. The comment posted on MJs says -- "Hi all, just came back from the Adam Lambert concert "in my backyard", Jakarta. I think a bit more than 50% of the tickets was sold (capacity was 5000) and the audience was very diverse, agewise and genderwise.. yeah !" I do not put much stock into fan estimates because it is hard to do. I hope to get some real info tomorrow. But I am not confident that it was a well attended concert. ETA: I have read the review with the reference to 1,000 people in attendance -- it is clearly an error. From Google translate: " Although scripted well, anyway the concert was initiated by Big Daddy Entertainment is not "managed" suck a lot of spectators. Arena concert was deserted - only half of the room capacity: 1,000 people. Lambert closed his performance with Music Again and trespassing."
Looking at the crowd photos, it is not possible that there were 1,000 people in attendence -- had to be more.
ETA #2: FIXED TYPO!!

On pg1 it shows 3500 tickets sold out of 5K for Sinapore. Which raises another question.. what's considered by promoters, and people who count, to be really good, successful attendance? It depends on the costs and other sources of revenue. Singapore tickets were expensive -- Tickets are priced at $188, $158, $128, $98. That is US$151, 127, 103, 78. So ticket revenue was high. Most of the unsold seats were $78 seats. I would pay the premium price for a premium seat. I'm past the point of paying $78 for a lousy seat only to watch the show on monitors. With fan vids and streams I think there are alot of fans that just won't settle for a lousy seat. I've never had the nerve to buy the lousy seat and then "pirate" a good seat because of a "no show". I've seen it done all the time though. imo, I think in the bigger venues there are alot of lousy seats and hence not "sold out" in the historic sense but "sold out" according to what most fans want for their concert experience these days.

I thought it was really interesting that Adam was the only Idol they showed talking in an interview and they showed him singing before the interview and after it. Lots of Adam on the Idol segment.

Yeah...next time I see Adam I'm saving for a really good seat. I wish I could do GA but that isn't happening for me. I'm too short. I wouldn't be able to see anything but people's backs! lol But I want the best I can find in seated tickets!

Q3 or anyone who might have any thoughts about this.. I thought Adam was very popular in Asia and am curious why the last 2 concerts have been less than full. Where there be any repercussions for Adam because the concert didn't sell more? Will that affect future concert possibilities there? I do not pay much attention to fan estimates of concerts. I called the venue or promoter for all concerts so far except for Japan because all the Japan concerts were announced as sold out. Here is what I have have determined.... Japan - all 6 concerts sold out. South Korea - only tickets with obstructed views and singles left, exceeded expectations (would probably be reported as sold out in US under Billboard rules). 1,924 of 2,036 sold 23 hours before concert. Shanghai - Sold more than 2 times expectations. The promoter wants him to come back. Over 7,000 tickets sold. Hong Kong - Almost sold out, over 3,500 of 3,600 tickets sold. Singapore - Apx 3,500 of 5,000 tickets sold. I do not have any reliable info on Jakarta yet. This is considered a very, very successful tour. So I think the only implications is that Adam can tour again and perhaps do 2 shows in Shanghai. This was Adam's first concert in Indonesia, and his first real concert in Singapore. (The Grand Prix concert was associated with the event and had many international fans.) Thanks Q3 for the info.. I knew the attendance was really high or sold out in the other venues, but was curious about Singapore and Jakarta since the attendance at those venues seemed less well attended.

Q3 Did you mean to say you are NOT confident that it was a well attended concert? Typo? And thanks for the info on concert attendance. Looks pretty darn good to me. The Jakarta 1000 came from that google translated article a few pages ago. But as myspenser said there were numerous errors in the article. Q3 comment: I fixed it. Oops!
