Dirty trick or not, the threat was credible enough for an official warning to be sent out and the local law enforcement to be notified. I have no doubt they also would have notified Adam's management as well, so Adam was probably aware of itl. BUT. HE. WENT. ON. STAGE. AND. PERFORMED. ANYWAY. To me, that is a statement more bold, important, and significant than any words or grand speeches. It reminds me of the brave individuals who sat at the front of the bus, sat at the whites-only lunch counter, and attended a white-only college despite threats of violence. Without saying one word, Adam took a courageous stand for equality. As did the rest of his entourage. Don't know if it will get any coverage in the press. Probably not. But, IMO, it SHOULD. They cover Adam's new hair color, or new song cover. Fluff. Adam making this stand should be covered and lauded by even more press. Mad RESPECT for Adam and the Glamily. And he performed OOL!  And he didn't get arrested for being gay!  Indeed he did! And indeed they did not! |

Is Adam in Finland yet? I want him out of Russia. I would like to commend all the Russian people who went to the concert because they were able to see a beautiful, talented, courageous singer, and I know they will never forget the concert. It took courage for the kids to go and for their parents to let them. Thank all St. Petersburg people for giving Adam your love by attending his concert.

Madonna did not have some fool politician passing a stupid, stupid, foul law denouncing gays. It sickens me. It took courage for Adam to go there. I hope there comes a day he can tell anyone who wants to pass a sick law like that to "FUCK OFF."

Hearing BTIKM again was a major revelation! Reminded me of everything I loved about this song and the video, before it got crapped up with concerns about sales and marketing. SO HAPPY.  Wondrous to hear that song again...can anyone direct me to when the discussion started about a 'possible ban'...on the concert? Dirty business, that. |

I love this tweet. It is all about Adam and his Fans...not the games politicians play.
I must say that in Poland we have the same kind of idiot people like this Milnov (wth was his name again?). For example they tried to prevent Madonna's concert - normal people are just laughing at them. This is painful to watch that part of fandom generalizes and makes fans from Russia feel bad. This shouldn't be this way. I t's not fairYep, when Adam traveled to both Utah and Idaho (two conservative US states) during his first tour, Fever did not include kissing Tommy. Of course we also had a state senator say things like this: Idiots are in our own backyard. |
