Aww poor Albiku! I sure hope it all gets straightened out quickly for her tomorrow!  Don't know why I got the impression earlier that she'd already found a way to get to the concert. Poor Albiku! Thank goodness she's not going by herself... must help a lot to have someone along and share the stress and the search! |

We have American leaders in our Congress who do and say the most intolerant, outrageous things about their countrymen too. The people (the majority of them) are kind, generous, loving and always there for you. One thing I do know is when there is a disaster in this country it is those 47% and more who are there to clean up the garbage, give you some groceries, invite you into their homes, give money to see you through. They don't discriminate when it comes to helping out. It seems to be the leaders that screw a country up.

I got knocked out of the board, just re-login. Thank god it wasn't just me...I was ready to have a heart attack! All ok now and pulse is back to normal...lol. Yay to all those attending Helsinki concert...I took a day off work Friday  and will be with you all in spirit...    the family that flails together, stays together  Oh albiku - thought you were there already...sending you lots of good wishes that you will get to Helsinki and enjoy the concert.

So. I don't do twitter so I don't have any idea what people said that would be making Russian fans upset. I got the impression from Januarysnow (I think) yesterday, and nonchallance today that people are making assumptions based on ignorance. We can only go by what we know and what are cultural perspective has taught us. Many of us here are not used to our government being a threat, or unpredictable. We are not used to having to disregard the power of leaders as "fools" and laugh off a law or threats or games they might be playing. So it is only natural for us to not be comfortable with Adam's safety.
But obviously there is a lot more to this story and we maybe coming across ignorant or insulting for being afraid. IDK. But this is an international site and I am sure we would love to learn. We have not heard a lot from those truly in the know about how to interpret things. With help we can better understand each other and the places Adam is visiting.

Adam is in good company -- look who else had one: Madonna. *** But Lady Gaga did not get one. I think this may be an Idol Alum first. So the concert was not almost banned? So confused..bet Adam left for Helsinki after the show. JMO..I would..SO CLOSE to our welcoming Finns who are already queuing??? Crap. That's dedication. |
