Well, I'm a singer (trained in opera for a short time and trained in general for longer), and I completely agree. He is a special man with a very special voice. I know we all agree because we're fans, but it's really interesting to read about opera singers who believe it too--and there are a few out there! Thanks for the tweet post! . I'm a singer, too . . . a lyric soprano. My sister, who listened to CTMBTM, is not an Adam fan, but was so amazed at the Brigadoon performance she proclaimed he should get to Broadway right now! - My sis auditioned and became the youngest Metropolitan Opera Audition Finalist in the Western Opera Theatre in the late 1960s. In all my years of music, I have never, ever heard a voice with the power and presence and control that lives within the incredible body of Adam Lambert. It's not his physical beauty that brings the tangible, physical essence of his voice to us. Guys - he has unheard-of lung capacity and breath control! Oh - did I mention his ability to move from chest voice through mid-range to head voice to stratospheric voice without a break? Vocalists spend a lifetime trying to perfect this technique; this control. Adam knows how to manipulate his sound and his resonance with the most subtle movement of his jaw! Then, there's this emotion, this theatricality. This way of turning a phrase or extending a note or inserting a tiny, visceral cry of let-me-see-my-bones reality. We've been captured. Only a voice from the stars themselves can do this; it's unreal. How he can enrapture we mortals. Here it is. For us. For the world. His voice is more than one in a generation. It is a voice of a lifetime; and, for me, we're on four generations and counting. It's fun to read about other trained singers chiming in about the marvelous voice. Not everyone hears it, of course. Different people define "good" in different ways. But, for me, there is something very special about Adam's voice. Once in a generation. One in a hundred million. Once in a lifetime. You know, once I said to Angelina Kalahari, the well-respected operatic soprano and vocal coach from London, that I thought Adam had one of the best voices I had ever heard. She quickly corrected me and said it was THE BEST voice she had ever heard, and she loves tenors and has sung with some of the best in the world.

While looking up the Des Moines event for my post above, I came across this GREAT interview which I had not seeN before. At 3:15+, Adam talks about privacy and how he thinks it is sweet when people get all excited when they recognize him, when he sees the joy it brings people, and "you're not putting me out by saying hi". WHAT A GUY!!!
Also, in the above interview she asks Adam about "The F Word" interview. Adam says that The F Word interview was at the end of a long day of interviews and that by that time his filter was down. So here's The F Word interview:

TY, Cassie. Momtomany, your post is delightful and heartwarming and I know you are speaking to the choir, but this choir just loves to hear it again and again, like little kids when they really love a story. Just this one is real, sometimes it is easy to forget that.

MOMTOMANY and CASSIE,
Can never get enough of hearing the experts explain what makes Adam's talent special. For me it is like trying to explain what love feels like, kinda impossible. But you guys know how to capture a little bit of it with words. BTW, didn't I read that Angelina was going to the Helsinki concert? Any word from her about it?
And a thanks for the research on fair fees and the Life Ball as well as Lilly's latest recap!

I love to hear the expert opinions re Adam's voice. His delivery is pretty impressive too. His command of where he is on stage and what it going on around him also suprises me. I've never left an Adam concert without being totally delighted and the "afterglow" lasted for days and days. For me he is a complete showman.
