Actually, it's 140 characters, not words! I wish it were words. There's always Twitlonger if you have something substantial to say, but most of the time I find myself trying to figure out how to abbreviate enough words to get my 143-character long tweet down to 140. We should have a Twit day on Atop where all posts have to be 140 characters or less. Photos and gifs are not included. What a wild time we could have with that...anybody game? I forsee lots of posts and maybe some lurkers will come out and play as well. Or it could be a disaster, but we've had worse threads... could b lots of fun - have to ck out abbrev tho to b brf (brief or barf???)

You guys are funny. I opened my email account and there were gobs of messages. WHAT!! Then I realized it was Atoppers requesting to follow me on Twitter. I have my Twitter account set a private and have only used it to Tweet radio requests for Adam. Not sure it did any good, but I was trying to look modern. Then I followed some random people, including Pink and Dr. Bri, even though I hardly ever read anything. I don't even follow Adam because I didn't want to look "cray" to a radio station. So maybe this means I'll actually have to get active on Twitter. I find it hard enough just to keep up with Atop. But I thought I should subscribe to Atop Twitter in case we had another site meltdown. Then I'd be able to find people easier. Anyways, you are welcome to follow my radio requests when Adam's 1st single comes out.

So, 3 songs on Idol tonight that Adam sang either on Idol, with Queen, or both (Satisfaction, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, & We Are The Champions). Of course Adam's versions were way better!

" style="width:50px;"] I am pretty sure that if your account is set to private, only people who follow you can see you tweets. So if you are tweeting radio stations or even Adam, unless they are following you, they don't get them. (I think)

If you account is private, I believe the @tweet account can see it only if your tweet starts with @tweet, but general non-followers cannot see it.

I went private because the radio station started following me. Thanks for the advice. And Thanks Q3, below.

If you account is private, I believe the @tweet account can see it only if your tweet starts with @tweet, but general non-followers cannot see it. I don't think so because I had to go private for a week and was told by everyone that Adam could not see my tweets :( OK, just checked on twitter. Only people you approve as followers can see your tweets. What is the difference between public and protected Tweets?- When you sign up for Twitter, you have the option to keep your Tweets public (the default account setting) or to protect your Tweets.
- Accounts with protected Tweets require manual approval of each and every person who may view that account's Tweets.
Who can see my Tweets?- Public Tweets (the default setting) are visible to anyone, whether or not they have a Twitter account.
- Protected Tweets may only be visible to your approved Twitter followers.
- Your Tweets will only be visible to users you've approved.
- Other users will not be able to retweet your Tweets
