So, this afternoon my power went out just as I was about to post, which is a good thing, I had some time to process my feelings.
I really, really wanted this to work, for all the reasons it was likely hard to make work. I have no doubt they will remain friends, and they will both be fine.. that's not saying it won't be hard at times, they did love each other very much.

I am sad - more than I thought I would be. Most of all I will miss those adorable pics of them being so happy together.

I don't agree that their separate and busy schedules are the only reason for the split. Spending time together in the early stages of a relationship is important but once established should not matter so much. My husband travels a lot and I actually love it when he's not home. I get the best of both worlds; time to do my own thing and I can always look forward to romantic times together. The only time I did resent the time he spent away was when I had young kids and it felt like I was a single parent a lot of the time. Elton John and David Furnish must spend a lot of time apart but they make it work. They have Nannies to look after their kids so they don't have the same trying to juggle careers while child rearing with no sleep pressures. ITA -- my husband and I have lived in two different place for work a number of times for a year or more at a time. We are still together and raised a great kid. Yeah, me too. Many more years under our belts but we do it to this day. Adam is at the beginning of his career and so is Sauli. I think they are two very intelligent men -- both driven and seeking success. Knowing that they will remain friends (and it's pretty evident they are still friends) makes me think that the relationship did "run it's course". I'm still very sad about it though.

Perhaps it might help a tiny bit to realise that today you (we) are reacting to the shock of this - but Adam and Sauli have had months to assimilate and discuss and come to terms...they are undoubtedly much further along the line than we are. I imagine they have made this news public when they have felt strong enough to deal with it. They'll be ok. (I have been the girl in your gif today - however sensible I've tried to be - :()

Hmmm really surprised that I've been in a funk since seeing this news this morning - obviously #overinvested. I know Adam will be fine but endings are sad.

This is "fresh news" for us (the fans) , and , even though we knew something was up ... confirming it makes it real and ......sad . I'm a little shocked and , well , teary . I'm the girl in that gif too .

Did some snooping. That tweet from WARDROBEFORYOU is a woman named Antoinette Frank. She is talking about shooting Adam today and also has tweets about shooting Michael Buble. Googled her name and on her FB page listed under "other" is the Make It Happen productions--aka the company doing the AT&T spots--and if you go to their FB page it has a Juno awards promo spot featuring Michael Buble www.facebook.com/antoinette.frankSo looks like this woman MAY be working for the Adam's AT&T commercial shoot today

[sadly]
Well I sure didn't see any breakup coming. And it makes me very, very sad as I though Adam and Sauli were a wonderful pairing.
Two decent, joyous people who loved life and each other.
I was pulling for them both.
