I am with you. I feel bad for the way Adam handled things. He (and yes I am talking about him, as I have no doubt who was the leader in their relationship) should have announced the split sooner OR he shouldn't have behaved like a single guy (and that behavior started already in the autumn and went on in New York in January and on the recent tour) while supposedly in a relationship. That was disrespectful to Sauli, even if he had got Sauli's approval, as fandom couldn't know of any possible approval. Adam's behavior caused anxiety in the fandom, and the anxiety grew when the boys were not seen much together before the longish tour and then again after the tour. Adam must have seen that anxiety on Twitter but didn't do anything to it (e.g. didn't restrict his partying until the time of announcement), only blocked those (or the one with many Twitter accounts) who expressed their (her/his) stress most blatantly. Adam put his own needs and his business before the well-being of his fandom (and perhaps even before Sauli). And today he says he loves all. IMO, Adam should NEVER put his fans' needs above his own. Whatever arrangement Adam and Sauli had in these past few months is THEIR business, not ours. Because it was THEIR relationship. We might see Adam as someone we hold close to our hearts, but to Adam we're strangers who happen to like him and his music. I have no doubt that he likes his fans and that he's very grateful to have us supporting his career, but that's where it should end. He doesn't owe us anything more than good music and whatever else of himself he chooses to give us. And he's a generous guy, he gives us plenty already. I don't get why some people aren't happy with that. What else do we want from him? And yes, I'm using that phrase, haha.
He didn't choose to give us info about his relationship, and that's completely okay, that's HIS right. It's his private life. IMO, we fans don't have the right to complain about it. Why should he care about our anxiety over his relationship when it's clearly none of our business? If there's something to complain about, the only one who has the right to do it is Sauli, the other part of the relationship.

I am Adam fan, don't even follow Sauli. However I know Adam will come out of this without any hickups, on the contrary, he will be again interresting in a new way. Even I don't know who left who, Sauli will take all heat both in practical and in publicity means. He is my countryman and I feel bad for him. I did not like Adam annoucing this alone, it should had been a common thing. I don't like how he has been behaving for quite a long time. I have said it before, and say again, "it's not what but how". There will be ugly things ahead, even though fans try to make it look nice and easy. And finally, of course, again, one bit more difficult to believe people conquering obstackles and can make things work. I am with you. I feel bad for the way Adam handled things. Adam owes us nothing by way of any type of explanation about his private life. The trolls that have been agonizing him endlessly on twitter should be disgusted with their own behavior. Personally I would call it harassment. |

Hoppers, I might need a drink. I can't sleep. lol Even though it somehow wasn't as much of a shock as I'd have thought it'd be, I'm still kinda sad. And it's because of what you said. They seemed so well matched! That kind of thing isn't that easy to find.

I am sad for the boy's parting, but I wonder if in some ways they are too much alike. Strong, independent and some ways driven to succeed.
