I don't watch Idol but my son keeps me somewhat up to date and from what I have heard, anything EXCEPT A BALLAD. I understand they are rather common this year. Lol! Haven't watched Idol at all this year but do remember now people here reporting too many ballad type songs! Ok. Mys*&@^#r for the win then, upbeat fun new single! and if there is no new single yet and he needs to do something for Trevor/AT&T and NOT a ballad then Trespassing will do the job nicely... but a new single would be better of course... I saw something on Twitter re VIP tickets for Miami... do we know about that? is anyone interested? I can't find the info now...feel stupid posting.... |

I try not to get too invested in Adam's personal life. However, it was kinda nice to think that he had a nice safe cocoon that he could go to outside of the public eye.
I wish the best for both Adam and Sauli.

Thanks! Off to drink some. ** On other subjects -- did we know that Adam was going to be in an AT&T Commercial and PSA for the Trever Project? The press release was on the 2nd but I did not read it until today. Yes, we have known about the commercial. Twitter was all a twitter over it a few days ago when that press release first came out. Premiering it on Idol would be a great idea. Not counting the Finale, there are only 5 shows left! Adam can't be on the April 18th show (he will be in China) & we know that Kelly is on this Thursday. So that leaves 3 dates open: April 25th, May 2nd, May 9th, or the Finale! Oh, so I am the only one who totally and completely missed it. Good this was not on the test! |

The news of their breakup did bring me down. It's so strange because intellectually I'm coping pretty well, but I've had this jittery, unsettled feeling in my body all day, a bit blue on the inside, I guess. It appeared to be a wonderful, loving relationship and so much good has come from it. Fortunately, the Universe does seem to bring Adam what he needs when he needs it, and I hope that will continue to happen for him. And I hope it will happen for Sauli, too. I wish them both the very best in life and love.
I also still hope that Adam will appear on Sauli's new TV show. I think the concept for his show is very interesting. And it would be a beautiful thing to see them interact as "best friends."
And I'm still dreaming that Idol will have a Nile Rodgers theme week--so much song potential, with Nile mentoring and Adam and Nile singing "Shady" on results night. Just because. God knows that show needs some more dynamic themes! I also like Michael Slezak's idea of a week when past contestants return to duet with a current contestant, especially if it's an all-female top four or five and the duet partners are all guys. I would love to see Adam paired with Candice because I think she has the most incredible, sky's-the-limit voice and she's my favorite of the group. But I recall Adam praised Angie once and so he might prefer her. But if by some miracle AI did have a Nile Rodgers week, then I propose that Adam duet with each of the contestants during one of their songs that week.
I know it's just a pipe dream because "Shady" wouldn't work if his Idol appearance is related to an AT&T/Trevor Project promo.
But, it would be betterer if Adam were on Idol promoting new material. So here's hoping most of all for that!
