First of all, I am just certain Sauli will be fine. Since Sauli has the Fox Finland TV Program he qualifies as a foreign correspondent and can stay in LA. If he wants to do something beyond Finland, he will have an international fanbase because many Adam fans know him,m others are fans, and that is a huge asset.

We know so little about this relationship and how it ended. We do know that they are still friends and appear to be happy.
But I do not think this happened months ago. It looks to me like the decision was very recent -- after the interview posted below.
A&S seemed quite happy together in December 2012 at the Divas After Party, Sauli was with Adam for part of the WAG Tour, Adam did that wonderful bow/intro to Broken English.
I have read some comments that this happened months ago. But that doesn't seem to fit the facts to me.

Adam in the interview from 4.5.13:
“It’s been kind of on its way out in the last couple of months.”
“Sauli and I remain really good friends, and I know it’s a cliché thing to say. But it’s totally true. I just gave him a coffee and bagel earlier today. He’s a great person and we’ve had an amazing couple of years together. Things have just run their course.”
“I’ve been getting really busy and traveling a lot and and he’s been getting really busy because he has a show he’s filming for Finnish television. So we just decided to part ways.”

Having just returned from being in the SF area visiting my son and his wife, and traveling yesterday all day and too cheap to spend the $8 on wifi, I missed the break-up about which I'm sorry, but hopeful for both. I'm just sick that I missed the 100 special tickets for the burgh, as I didn't know they were even available. Sigh. Q3 maybe you'll wave to me???LOL. What I've learned about the Pittsburgh pride: 1. parking at a Goodyear parking lot is a good idea. 2. The way the stage is set up if you stand to the left looking at the stage you can stand on the curb and see better. 3. Every possible home game(pirates, power-arena football) are all having home games that weekend, so parking will be on the other side of impossible. I will call and see if there are any suggestions or other modes of transportation to get to venue. 4. The usual festival type vendor food will be available throughout the grounds. Also, aforementioned son upgraded my operating system on my iPad, so now I can see and use the floating page numbers that were previously just a fond dream. I'm going to try and post again, too, to see if I'm up to speed. As far as I know, there was no indication that these were going to be available until they put them for sale. If SandySVA had not posted it here, we would not have known. And at that, they vanished very quickly. ** ProBoards pushed out a fix on the page numbers overnight on 4.4.13-4.5.13 -- that was supposed to fix the page numbers. If you are still having problems, and use an iPad, you might want to check and see if you operating system is updated. |

And, I just want to add that the press follows Adam around -- perhaps that is why we see pics of him in night clubs and such. Everyone knows that we devour those pics. It made sense to me also that the break-up got revealed in an interview for gay pride. That's his next event and they probs asked about his relationship. If I recall (and I may be incorrect) Sauli has not done an interview in English -- I just don't see how it could have been handled jointly. I think the FAULT magazine interview was in english? Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I need to make clear that I don't think Adam has done anything wrong, just needed to point out that interview :D And now off to sleep! I'll be back tomorrow!  Oh good! I'm glad! That's a British mag, right? (maybe not) -- don't know. |

Being a romantic at heart and being overly invested in Adam's and Sauli's relationship has not tuned out so well. Like many of you, I have noticed signs for a few months and after my initial worry, I would let it pass till the next time. I think I saw all the signs (a big one for me was "current boyfriend") that all of you saw but since no one else was mentioning it here, I figured it was just me being overly concerned. My heart hurts for them and I'll miss the glow that would be evident when they were together. I'm glad they have given this time before confirming their split. It's easier to accept when we can see them ok (or at least acting ok). I'm here for Adam but like many of you have learned to adore Sauli, too.
Thank you ALL here at Atop for your wonderful posts. You've expressed what I was feeling and its comforting to know that my feelings don't make me crazy....only an Adam stan to the max. I will try hard to remain more objective when Adam starts dating - this for my mental health.
Atop is the greatest place to hang out. You are all incredible♥♥♥

So we just decided to part ways.” Q3, the interview you posted is from March 28, 2012 -- a year ago. Someone just posted it on YouTube last month in celebration of Sauli's birthday. So, yes, in March 2012 they were very happy. But based on what Adam said in the SFGN article, I think it is fair to say that the break-up did not happen last week. They probably made a decision, and then announced the break-up at a time that worked best for the two of them, both personally and professionally. So, past the weeping stage, and at a point when they were both ready to move on, with smiles. ETA: Noticed that mys*&@^#r just posted pretty much the same thing. Great minds, and all that. |
