Just a little $0.02 re Adam's use of the phrase "current" boyfriend. Yes, he used the phrase a lot. But it always struck me that was Adams way of distinguishing THIS relationship from any PAST ones, and I never interpreted it to imply that he felt his current relationship was temporary. I agree. Plus I always thought that Adam also did this to respect Sauli's privacy a bit.

My thoughts on why Sauli hasn't commented on the break-up:
1) The story is about ADAM LAMBERT and his boyfriend splitting up.. 2) The story is about ADAM LAMBERT splitting up with his boyfriend (depending on which 'story' you read.) 3) The story broke in the USA by Adam in an interview where he had control of the information dissemination. 4) The press doesn't give a hoot about Sauli as a celebrity in his own right. In the US, he isn't one. 5) Sauli has no media clout in this country..no outlets. It would IMO do him no good to comment here. 6) Adam talks, the media listens. 7) Adam is all that counts here as far as the media is concerned. Sauli could be Drake or George.. Sauli is collateral damage in the break-up and dismissable. Harsh but true media-wise.
It seems, then, only natural that the break-up story was orchestrated by Adam. I cannot imagine Adam and Sauli did not talk about how this story would be handled.
Sauli may at some point give a statement to his Finnish fans. There might be timing in place for that as well. But we don't know and we're only a day into this.
I only posted because I would be devastated if this forum became a dumping ground for 'the blame game..it was ___'s fault'. How this split came about, we'll probably never know.
We have such a magnificent group of US and international members here at Atop and mud slinging isn't going to do anything but polarize people and perhaps lose valuable members.
Do we want to walk that walk?
ETA: My Sauli comments are meant from a media perspective. I adore the man.

After reading the last several pages I want to say something that is a huge generalization but somehow it feels applicable: Warning: I am addressing the ladies (sorry gents, I don;t see you posting anyway) remember the men are from Mars, women are from Venus? So: We, the women from Venus, are dealing here with the two men from Mars. And most of us as expected are doing it from the Venus POV... - all assumption of course... Do you remember being young and dating and realizing at some point that the boys are in it for "the fun" and you are in it for "the serious"??? Or, if it didn't happen to you - did you observe this in other couples? Did you ever break a relationship because you realized that you are "wasting" your time? Or, if not you - do you know anyone who did just that? Have you or have you known a couple that was much happier because BOTH were just "having fun" and had no intentions of building a family? My point is that all these discussions re "current bf", "ran its course", etc... are somehow "wrong" for YOU because you are coming from some specific VIEW OF HOW IT SHOULD BE. While in reality - we have no idea how it is or was for Adam and Sauli, and it may very well be that they both KNEW ALL ALONG that it is all great while it was working and had NO PLANS FOR ANYTHING MORE than that. CHANGE IS GOOD!!!! Break ups are very difficult in the short term but are RIGHT in the long term, because they have a reason and a cause and it is often BRAVE to LET IT GO. CELEBRATE THE COURAGE! CELEBRATE THE FUTURE! JanuarySnow and momtomany - great job!!!! I was thinking along these lines earlier but could not get it down in words. I really think there is something to your point of view. I do think they loved very deeply but just knew when to end it.

Wanted to put on my two cents even though it has been said by others more eloquently: The so called 'cavalier" way Adam announced the break up was his best option to a situation that really didn't have a good one. His main goals were to keep the press from having too big a "field day" with his private life, and to let his fans know that he was OK emotionally and ready to move on with life. For both of these, a matter of fact, this is an ordinary part of life, no drama approach would do the least to fire up the press and worry his fans more than the already were. He was careful to note that Sauli was a great person. He is a master at communication IMO and was here too.

Speaking of condos - we were, weren't we? Anyway, I don't live in a condo, but I know all about them because I watch House Hunters on HGTV.heh. A condo IS a home - just without all the exterior maintenance - and some have wonderful amenities as well. A condo is an investment just as a stand-alone home is an investment. (HGTV again) I think a condo is a wise investment for Adam at this time in his life.
