Aside from the assumption regarding who broke up with whom, I'm amazed that anyone would just assume Adam has somehow behaved immaturely based on what little we know. Life is not one size fits all - and we don't all have stage direction. Being 31 doesn't automatically mean its time to find a life partner. The fact that the person you are with is a good person does not alone make them the right person for you. I broke up with someone I did and do adore in my early thirties - it wasn't the love I wanted for myself and actually I needed to still work some things out in my own life. 10 yrs later in -omg - my 40s I found the person I'd hoped for and I was ready. That isn't a template - I know some here met their life partners at very young ages - others are single by choice and actually happy too - imagine. I can't imagine why Adam would merit a smack of any kind. And if he were my brother - regardless of what happened or who did or didn't do what - it can't be the easiest time for him (and add public scrutiny to that) my heart would ache for him. I would want to hug him a lot - and maybe feed him lol. But everyone is different no? -goes back to lurking- ysabelle - WELCOME!!!! I so totally agree!!!!! it is all about being "ready"!!! I know I am repeating myself: most females are just "ready" earlier and are in general are prone to "nesting"... most males are different, especially the young-ish ones... I actually envy them... Hope everyone will get into the "acceptance" and "moving forward" stages soon! remember: the treasure of the past and beautiful relationship will always be with them! “And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend. You will want to laugh with me. And you will sometimes open your window, so, for that pleasure . . . And your friends will be properly astonished to see you laughing as you look up at the sky! Then you will say to them, 'Yes, the stars always make me laugh!' And they will think you are crazy. It will be a very shabby trick that I shall have played on you...” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little PrinceYou are more eloquent than I am!!! I totally agree with your opinions! Just move forward!!! And as long as Adam keeps on singing, I still have hopes that I will hear him sing my favorite songs which included some Christmas and Broadway songs!

(Do you mind being called 4M's once in awhile?..I don't know why, but I have a devil of a time spelling your name correctly..must be my dyslexia kickin' in..) Happy to see a little fun on the board today. 4Ms is fine. All of my children's names begin with M. I used to write 4Ms in the return address for cards & notes to the grands. 4Ms xxx Street City, State zzzzz 4Msrmyn = 4 Ms are mine. Both of my parents, 2 siblings, and my ex's names begin with M. My youngest adopted a 1 yr old cat last year. She was already named. Of course, her name begins with a M.

Kinda wish I'd waited, but then that makes me feel like I'm wishing away my kids and that's not acceptable. If Hoppers saw Adam right now, I bet she'd start blabbering about how much she loves him instead of bopping him on the head. Of course, ya never know about someone who uses dynamite to make Sangria. :D :D :D :D :D (Forgot to add my smilies.) (Smilies are making me nuts. Never seem to get them right.)

Vivi Looks like Laurence Olivier or maybe Michael Hutchence Oh ha I had to google it, but yes Laurence Olivier as Darcy in Pride & Prejudice, never saw that version.... thanks! Watched that several times... and it was the best version for me of Pride & Prejudice. Much closer to book version, too! And he fitted Darcy to a tee! He was gay in real life and was married to Vivien Leigh, the star in "Gone with the Wind". Now I have to dig up my old movies files and watched it over again.

Of course, ya never know about someone who uses dynamite to make Sangria. [grins evily] C'mon! It adds an interesting flavor to the drink! As to the other, in my family we bop first, then hug, then feed (Hey - didn't say it was a good way to do things. It's just what sometimes happens among us sibs). And in RL I would, at best, probably blither inanely for 20 seconds, then duck and run. Then think afterwards about floofy hair.
